Was not expecting to be floating down a river today but here we are! Enjoying the beautiful weather. Leave it to us to find an unusual place to drink more regional w**e!🍷 I continue to be amazed by the variety of activities we have experienced. It’s been an incredible eye opening journey!

A visit to the Plitvice Lakes National Park is worth it!
Even though it rained a bit the colors were beautiful- I guess I’ll have to come back! This can be a short 3 hour walk or go all the way around for 8 hours.

The Bela Karjina is known as the White Carniola- white linen, sheep, birch trees, and flatbread! This was a hands on cooking class of course with w**e! We took the leftovers and continue to snack on this salty bread- with of course - more w**e!

We met with local shepherds as they took us through their way of life for many many years. (we were “looking” for a lost sheep) Their life was
Sustainable
They listened to the land in silence and through smells.
In this Alpine region there were dairy farms, (and we have had a variety of cheeses), wool needs for hats to socks. They had what they needed.
BTW
We didn’t find the “lost” sheep.

Another discovery in Slovenia- they have breweries too. With a bit of local history in Kamnik, there also have 5 breweries in this area.

Through Slovenia we have toured amazing caves, hiked to see castles. Beauty is everywhere 🙀
