In 2026, I will be retiring from guiding. I will continue to fish with my family and good friends.

I want to thank all of my clients over the years, who shared their fishing adventures with me! I have met a lot of long-time friends in the process. We had a lot of adventures on the water together.

The Salmon fishery has taken a major decline over the past years. The rivers I love to fish have been closed. I hope the numbers come back so we can continue to enjoy Salmon fishing in California and for future generations.

With the removal of the dams at the Klamath River, I am optimistic that the Salmon returns will increase to a great fishery.

Fish On!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jenna. Wishing you a wonderful day.

2024 there was not a Salmon season in California on Sacamento, Feather or the Klamath Rivers again this year. This year we took a two week vacation on the Rogue River. We went there to learn how they catch Salmon with my neighbor Steve at the mouth of the Rogue. It took a few days to figure it out. What rods, reels, line, weights, 11" flashers to use. Learning how to treading anchovies and herring to troll. It's a total different fishery learning tides. Fishing in the rain and wind in the estuary. Just driving the boat, in boat traffic was a learning experence. After all of that, we ended up with a few fish. It was a great trip and a great experience.

They are still catching Salmon at the mouth. Call a local guide, they have it dialed in. If the fish are biting, they will put you on a fish. Those Guides are amazing.
