Tupelo tours by Memphis Road Tours We offer guided tours to Tupelo, the city where Elvis Presley lived the first 13 years of his life. My tour in Tupelo begins at the Birthplace.

You will tour the actual home, the renovated museum, the restored original church, the 1979 chapel, and the landscaped grounds. There is an admission fee to tour the Birthplace home and museum. Then we visit the other places which were part of Elvis' life in Tupelo. Ten of those places are marked with an historic plaque. We visit the site of the Assembly of God church, Lawhon Elementary School, Jo

hnnie's Drive-In, site of the Fairgrounds, Tupelo Hardware, site of Shakerag neighborhood, site of Mayhorn's grocery, site of WELO radio broadcasting, and last Priceville Cemetery. We will eat lunch at Johnnie's Drive-In, where Elvis ate: unless we do a tour on Sunday. Johnnie's is closed on Sundays. If available we will go inside the office of Lawhon Elementary which has a nice exhibit of photos and mementos. We will go inside Tupelo Hardware which is open every day but Sunday. At Priceville Cemetery, depending on the weather, we walk to the approximate location of Jesse Garon's grave, Elvis' brother.

It’s rockin at the Elvis. Presley Birthplace for Fan Appreciation Day. If you didn’t come, you missed lots of free music, door prizes and reduced ticket prices. David Lee ETA performed and even asked a few young boys to perform on stage. They were great!!

Rachel Potter, of Surprise Arizona, has her photo taken by Sue Freeman, owner and tour guide of Memphis Road Tours, as she sits on the newly unveiled Lisa Marie bench dedicated by the Tupelo Elvis Fan Club on April 13, 2023, at the Elvis Presley Birthplace. The new bench will be placed next the bench dedicated to Elvis near the water fall at the lake on the Birthplace grounds.

TUPELO – The Elvis Presley Birthplace unveiled a bench in memory of Lisa Marie Presley Thursday afternoon. The park bench was donated by the Tupelo Elvis Presley Fan Club.
