What does the legacy of Stax look like today? A lot of it can be found right here in Soulsville! Pat Mitchell Worley, President & CEO of the Soulsville Foundation, recently joined The Daily Memphian’s Eric Barnes on The Sidebar podcast to talk about preserving that legacy, preparing the next generation of Memphis artists, and the role of education and opportunity across our campus.

They also touched on next year’s milestone: Stax Records turns 70!

Thank you to National Civil Rights Museum for hosting our July MMAA meeting! The networking, salad bar and the tour of the newly opened Legacy Building were great!

We are SO proud of our MMAA member Elaine Turner Heritage Tours/Slavehaven/WC Handy House for being featured in the museum as a Changemaker!

Join us in wishing Kaleb Hart and Christian Gillespie the best of luck as they head to Berklee College of Music's Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive!

Over the next five weeks, they'll immerse themselves in college-level music study, receiving instruction from Berklee faculty, performing in ensembles, and collaborating with other talented young musicians.

We’re so proud of Kaleb and Christian, and can't wait to see all they accomplish!
