Happy travels to the adult group traveling to Alaska! Some of the highlights of their trip include panning for gold in Fairbanks, and a guided wildlife bus tour & dog-sled demonstration in Denali National Park. Then they'll spend their last days in Anchorage, doing a trolley tour to get acquainted with the city, guided hike in Chugach State Park, botanical garden visit, and an all-day excursion on the Coastal Classic train to Seward where they'll embark on a wildlife cruise of the Kenai Fjord.

Saturday we woke to sunshine ☀️
and blue skies for our drive along the Geirangerfjord. We stopped at a strawberry stand 🍓to buy the best strawberries we’ve ever had. We took a break at the visitor’s center before our exhilarating drive on the Trollstigen (Troll’s ladder) mountain road. Lunch was near Trollveggen (Troll’s Wall) the tallest vertical rock face in Europe, about 3,600 ft. Thank you to Jan, our driver, for his expert driving skills.

We’ve had a couple of spectacular days. Yesterday we took a stroll through the charming town of Lærdal, caught a ferry on the way to Hellesylt, where we boarded our boat for a cruise on the Geirangerfjord. We ended our day at our lovely hotel in Geiranger with hiking trails and a waterfall nearby.

Our Scenic Scandinavia tour got off to a great start. Here’s a snippet of our day in Bergen which included a short excursion to Troldhaugen to visit composer Edvard Grieg’s villa and ended viewing the sunset from the top of Mount Fløyen. ☀️🚞
