Mercersburg rolled out the red carpet for our friends at the 9/11 Remembrance Run! Thank you to everyone for your patience, support, and patriotism. Thank you also to Stoners On The Square for their generous hospitality and Mayor Pedersen and Mercersburg Police for their additional support. Let’s grow this tradition each year! 🇺🇸

Please join us in sending your well wishes and prayers to the brave runners as they complete their 485 mile journey to Ground Zero.

TODAY! The 9/11 Remembrance Run is returning to Mercersburg! Let’s show them our support and cheer them on as they travel 485 miles from Shanksville, PA, to the Pentagon, to Ground Zero. This annual relay run honors first responders and benefits the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Residents of Mercersburg are encouraged to gather on the square in time for their arrival, estimated at 6:00PM. Show your patriotism, wear your red, white, and blue, and be prepared to welcome these dedicated runners during their inspiring journey!

You’ll also have a chance to grab a drink and meet the runners during a celebratory meet and greet at Stoners on the Square.

Do you love to sing? There’s still time to join the Mercersburg Area Community Chorus!

Rehearsals are once a week, every Tuesday from September 15 through December 1, with the winter performances on December 5 & 6. Previous choral experience is not required- just a love of music and community!

BREAKING: After months of contentious debate and public outcry, the Mercersburg Moose Lodge is rescinding their unsolicited donation of three Flock Cameras intended for downtown Mercersburg. In recognition of continued privacy concerns and the withdrawn donation, plans to pursue Flock Cameras in Mercersburg have therefore been cancelled by Borough Council.

Government opposition to the installation of Flock Cameras included Mayor Michael Pedersen and Councilmembers Jacob Morgan, Don Palesky, and Anthony Frisby.

In a stunning turn of events after continued public outcry, Borough Council passed a motion 4-2 to temporarily pause on identifying the locations for Flock Cameras in Mercersburg. However, the ultimate future of Flock cameras in Mercersburg remains uncertain as an additional motion would be needed to rescind overall plans for their installation.
