This week, the rest of the world celebrates something that is part of everyday life right here at home.

🚀 AND THERE THEY GO!

Today, Crew-13 began its journey from the Space Coast to the International Space Station carrying NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov.

Their mission goes far beyond reaching orbit. During their time aboard the ISS, the crew will conduct research focused on human health, personalized medicine, growing food in space, and technologies that can help prepare us for future missions to the Moon and Mars while benefiting life here on Earth.

And it all started right here on the Space Coast. 🚀

Now through September 25, kids ages 11 and under can receive FREE Zoo admission when accompanied by a paying Florida resident adult.

🚀 SpaceX is gearing up for a 2:49 PM ET launch from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Weather conditions are looking fantastic for a breathtaking Sunday show!
🛰️ The Mission: A Falcon 9 rocket will carry the final trio of O3b mPOWER satellites (11–13) for SES, completing their game-changing, high-speed MEO communications constellation.
🌊 Booster Recovery: Keep your eyes peeled after liftoff—the Falcon 9 first stage is aiming for a pinpoint landing on a drone ship in the Atlantic.

On this September 11th, we pause to honor the courage, resilience, and unity that define our nation.

As a travel and tourism community, we are forever grateful for the enduring strength of the hospitality and aviation industries, and the incredible spirit of the travelers who connect us all. Today, Visit Cocoa Beach stands united with our partners across the Space Coast, including the Accelerate Brevard Chamber of Innovation, in remembering the lives lost, honoring the heroes, and celebrating the freedom to explore our beautiful world together. 🇺🇸✨

Today, Accelerate Brevard joins our community and our nation in solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day, the first responders who ran toward danger, the service members who answered our nation's call, and the families who carried an immeasurable sacrifice in the years and conflicts that followed.

Here on Florida's Space Coast, we are honored to be surrounded by so many veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, public servants, and community members whose lives were forever shaped by that day. Many were there. Many served because of it. Many helped build the future of our nation and our community in the years that followed.

Today, we remember their courage. We honor their sacrifice. And we remain grateful for those who continue to serve and protect our communities and our country.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity that brought Americans together.
