Kicking it at Kicker Rock 🤘🏻🪨🌞

One of the best spots for snorkeling, Kicker Rock or Leon Dormido is an amazing rock formation near San Cristobal Island.

This amazing landmark located about an hour and a half to the north east of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Kicker Rock / Leon Dormido is a remnant of a vertical tuff cone formation, rising almost 153 meters (500 feet) from the ocean.

The erosion has given the rock its characteristic shape, which some see as a shoe, hence the name Kicker Rock. Others see it as a sleeping sea lion or Leon Dormido in Spanish.

While we snorkel around Kicker Rock we can spot sea turtles, marine iguanas, rays, Galapagos sharks, tropical fish and if luck is on our side we can even see hammerhead sharks. Besides enjoying the underwater view, we can usually see blue-footed bo***es, masked bo***es and frigatebirds on the cliffs as well as sea lions along the shore.

Vigeland Sculpture Park in the Frogner Park with more than 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland (1869–1943) in bronze, granite and cast iron, including The Angry Boy (Sinnataggen in Norwegian), The Monolith (Monolitten) and The Wheel of Life (Livshjulet).

Vigeland was also responsible for the design and architectural outline of the park, which is one of Norway’s top tourist attractions, with more than one million annual visitors. Such an amazing day here with the sun and weather. Norway is weird and wonderful 🇳🇴

Nice to meet you!

Hi, I'm Bailey! I am originally from a small hippie town in northern California. I moved to Louisiana when I started college at Louisiana Tech. There, I attained my Bachelor of Science degree in business economics and learned to love Louisiana! At Tech (go Dawgs!) I met my husband. While in college, I spent a semester studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic. I have been to 30 countries so far, and love European vacations! South America is my new favorite destination. At the end of my study abroad program, my husband proposed to me at the Trevi Fountain in Rome! We got married May of 2018 in New Orleans.

My husband is a pilot for American Eagle. My dad is a 787 Captain for American Airlines and my mom is a flight attendant, so travel has always been an important part of my life. I have been blessed to take advantage of my family's travel benefits. We have traveled to more than half of the US National Parks, visited Hawaii on 8 separate vacations, ventured to 44 of the 50 states, and been to Europe, South America, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico on multiple vacations. Have I mentioned that I really love travel!? It's my passion and love of travel that led me to a career as a travel advisor.

​Growing up in California, I participated in several competitive snow skiing teams and also spent one winter as a ski instructor. I have skied all over the Sierra Nevada mountains. As a result, I have experienced and have a great understand and love of ski vacations! I am also very familiar with northern California and the Pacific Northwest, having hiked and adventured throughout the region growing up.

Before starting my career as a travel advisor, I was the marketing and documentation specialist at Travel Central. With my passion for travel, please let me help you plan your next vacation!
