Would you dare to drive one of Utah’s most thrilling roads? 🇺🇸
The Moki Dugway, part of Utah’s Highway 261, climbs nearly 1,200 feet up the steep face of Cedar Mesa through a dramatic series of tight switchbacks. From below, the road looks almost impossible—a narrow ribbon of gravel zigzagging across colorful cliffs.

The drive is slow, rugged, and absolutely spectacular. With steep drop-offs, sharp bends, limited guardrails, and an unpaved surface, the Moki Dugway demands patience and concentration. Large vehicles and anyone uncomfortable with heights may find it especially challenging.

But the reward is incredible. Every turn reveals sweeping views of layered sandstone, vast desert plains, distant mesas, and a landscape that seems to stretch forever. Pullouts along the route offer the perfect opportunity to stop safely and take in the scenery.

Despite its reputation, the Moki Dugway can be driven safely in good conditions when approached with caution. After heavy rain or snow, however, the road can become muddy, slippery, and difficult to navigate.

This is not a road to conquer at speed. It is a road to experience—slowly, carefully, and with your eyes on the incredible landscape around you.

At the top, looking back at the winding road below is an unforgettable feeling. 🇺🇸

Today, we’re taking you to Mountain Resort Feuerberg, a hotel with one of the most spectacular views in the world.
Perched high on the high-altitude plateau of the Gerlitzen Alpe in Carinthia, Austria, at 1,769 meters (5,800 feet) above sea level, this resort offers an unobstructed, 360-degree panorama that spans over 150 kilometers. Guests can gaze out across rolling alpine meadows, lush pine forests, and shimmering Austrian lakes like Lake Ossiach and Lake Wörthersee below. On clear days, the sightline stretches all the way past the Karawanken Mountains and deep into the neighboring jagged peaks of the Julian Alps along the borders of Slovenia and Italy.
The resort’s standout vantage point is its award-winning, heated infinity pool. Soaking in the warm water while floating literally above the clouds gives you the illusion of hovering directly over the valley floor. Whether you are watching a golden sunrise break over the mist-covered mountain valleys in the summer or observing snow-covered alpine slopes during the winter ski season, every corner of this property—from the floor-to-ceiling glass saunas to the panoramic outdoor sun terraces—frames a living, ever-changing masterpiece of natural beauty.

Have you ever driven on a road that seems to twist back into itself? 🇺🇸

Hidden in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the Pigtail Bridge on Iron Mountain Road (U.S. Route 16A) is one of America’s most fascinating road experiences. Instead of taking a straight path down the mountain, the road curls into a tight spiral, allowing vehicles to gain elevation while blending beautifully into the surrounding landscape.

Surrounded by towering ponderosa pines and rugged hills, every turn reveals a new view. The road is especially popular with motorcyclists, thanks to its sweeping curves, changing elevations, and exciting sense of movement. 🇺🇸

The highlight comes when the road loops around and passes over or beneath itself. It is an unusual piece of engineering that feels almost like a mountain roller coaster—but at a much slower and more scenic pace.

Iron Mountain Road is an attraction in its own right, featuring narrow tunnels, dramatic switchbacks, scenic viewpoints, and spectacular glimpses of the Black Hills. The Pigtail Bridge perfectly captures what makes this route so special: creative engineering designed around the natural landscape rather than against it.

Whether you’re driving a car or riding a motorcycle, this is a road where you shouldn’t rush. Slow down, enjoy every curve, and take in the incredible scenery. 🇺🇸

Would you add the Pigtail Bridge to your road-trip bucket list?

Would you dare to drive one of America’s most spectacular and dangerous mountain roads? 🇺🇸

The Beartooth Highway (U.S. Route 212) is a legendary journey between Red Lodge, Montana, and the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Winding through the rugged Beartooth Mountains, the road features steep climbs, sharp hairpin turns, narrow sections, and dramatic drop-offs.

As you climb toward Beartooth Pass at nearly 11,000 feet, the landscape transforms into an incredible alpine wilderness. Forests give way to rocky peaks, green meadows, glacial lakes, and vast mountain panoramas. Even in summer, huge patches of snow can remain beside the road. 🇺🇸

But the Beartooth Highway is not a drive to take lightly. Mountain weather can change rapidly, bringing fog, strong winds, heavy rain, or even snow. Temperatures can drop dramatically at higher elevations, while long descents and tight curves demand careful driving.

Wildlife is another part of the experience. Elk, deer, mountain goats, marmots, and even bears can appear near the road. Always slow down, stay alert, and use designated pullouts when stopping for photos.

Despite its challenges, the Beartooth Highway is one of America’s greatest scenic road trips a place where breathtaking beauty and raw mountain power exist side by side.

Would you put this road on your bucket list? 🇺🇸

U.S. Route 50, Nevada, what a majestic view, one of the loneliest roads in America
Would you drive across a road known as “The Loneliest Road in America”? 🇺🇸
U.S. Route 50 cuts across the heart of Nevada, taking travelers through enormous desert valleys, rugged mountain ranges and landscapes that seem to stretch forever. With long distances between towns, very little traffic and almost no signs of modern life, this is road-tripping in its purest form.

The route crosses Nevada’s spectacular Basin and Range country, climbing over mountain passes before descending into wide-open desert basins. Golden grasses, sagebrush, distant peaks and an endless blue sky create a landscape that feels almost unreal.

Along the way, historic towns such as Ely, Eureka, Austin, Fallon and Carson City offer a fascinating glimpse into Nevada’s mining and frontier past. After miles of solitude, even a small historic main street can feel like a welcome discovery.

But the real magic is the silence. There are no crowded highways, no endless rows of buildings and few distractions — just you, the road and an enormous landscape. Stay after sunset and the experience becomes even more spectacular, with incredibly dark skies revealing thousands of stars.

Route 50 isn’t simply a highway. It’s an adventure for those who love freedom, remote landscapes and the feeling of disappearing into the American West.

Just remember: fuel up when you can. On this road, the next gas station may be a long way away.

Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Montana, is one of America’s most spectacular—and intimidating—mountain drives. Stretching roughly 50 miles through the heart of the Rocky Mountains, the pavement often seems to cling directly to the mountainside, with towering rock walls on one side and dramatic valleys dropping away on the other.
The highlight of the journey is the climb toward Logan Pass at 6,646 feet above sea level. Here, the scenery grows increasingly dramatic, featuring massive peaks, waterfalls, wildflower slopes, and patches of summer snow. The section near the Garden Wall is especially breathtaking as the road carves through remarkably steep terrain.
Despite its beauty, the road demands complete focus. It is narrow and winding, with little room for error. Exposed stretches can be intense for drivers uncomfortable with heights, while sudden weather changes, heavy summer traffic, cyclists, and local wildlife—like mountain goats and bighorn sheep—require extra patience.
Still, the experience is unmatched. Overlooks reveal turquoise lakes, dense green forests, and rugged peaks carved by ancient glaciers. Driven with care and patience, Going-to-the-Sun Road becomes a legendary adventure where the highway itself is just as memorable as the destination.
