From May 9–16, we had a wonderful experience onboard the MSC World America 🚢☀️
Our adventure started with my first challenge: finding parking for my Mercedes Sprinter 😄 Since I had an Everglades tour with 14 cruise guests immediately after disembarkation on May 16, logistics came first!
We traveled in Aurea, and personally I would always choose it again: priority boarding, a spacious balcony cabin, access to the beautiful spa, and especially the flexibility to enjoy dinner at the restaurant without being tied to a fixed dining schedule.
Another thing that really impressed us was the organization. Boarding check-in was extremely fast, especially because we completed online pre-registration in advance. Even more impressive was disembarkation: everything was automated with facial recognition technology, and by 7:45 AM we were already off the ship.
Our itinerary: Roatan – Costa Maya – Cozumel – Ocean Cay – Miami
All excursions during this cruise were booked directly through MSC, except Costa Maya.
🌴 Roatan (Tabyana Beach): crystal-clear water and a beautiful beach. The only downside was the included food, which could definitely be improved.
🏝 Cozumel – Isla Mia: unfortunately this MSC excursion was a disappointment for us.
🌊 Costa Maya: no excursion booked. We took a taxi from the port and explored on our own. At first we were surrounded by vendors 😄, but in the end we had a relaxing day and found a local restaurant away from the beach with much better prices and very good food.
🐚 Ocean Cay: beautiful and relaxing, although you can clearly feel that it is an artificial island transformed into a resort destination.
The ship itself is huge and very modern — almost like a floating shopping mall. But when you leave Miami behind and sail away, there’s that special feeling of disconnecting from everyday life. That’s the magic of cruising.
Overall: a fantastic experience.
And now... we're already getting ready for the next cruise 🚢😊

Du 9 au 16 mai, nous avons vécu une très belle expérience à bord du MSC World America 🚢☀️
Notre aventure a commencé avec mon premier défi : trouver une place de parking pour mon Mercedes Sprinter 😄 Comme j’avais un tour des Everglades avec 14 croisiéristes juste après le débarquement du 16 mai, il fallait bien organiser la logistique !
Nous avons voyagé en formule Aurea et, personnellement, je la choisirais toujours : embarquement prioritaire, cabine avec grande véranda, accès au magnifique spa et surtout la liberté de dîner au restaurant sans horaire imposé.
Un autre point qui nous a vraiment impressionnés a été l’organisation. Le check-in à l’embarquement a été très rapide, notamment grâce à la préinscription effectuée à l’avance. Mais le plus impressionnant a été le débarquement : tout était automatisé avec reconnaissance faciale et à 7h45 nous étions déjà sortis du navire.

Toutes les excursions pendant cette croisière ont été réservées directement avec MSC, sauf Costa Maya.
🌴 Roatan (Tabyana Beach) : eau cristalline et plage magnifique. Seul point moins positif : le repas inclus, assez décevant.
🏝 Cozumel – Isla Mia : malheureusement cette excursion MSC a été une déception pour nous.
🌊 Costa Maya : aucune excursion réservée. Nous avons pris un taxi depuis le port et exploré par nous-mêmes. Beaucoup de vendeurs au début 😄 mais finalement une journée agréable avec un restaurant local moins cher et très bon.
🐚 Ocean Cay : très belle île, agréable et relaxante, même si l’on ressent son côté artificiel.
Le navire est immense et très moderne, presque comme un centre commercial flottant. Mais au moment où l’on quitte Miami et que le navire prend la mer, il y a cette sensation particulière de se déconnecter du quotidien. C’est la magie de la croisière.
Au final : une très belle expérience.
Et maintenant… nous préparons déjà la prochaine croisière 🚢😊

Dal 9 al 16 maggio abbiamo vissuto una bellissima esperienza a bordo della MSC World America 🚢☀️
La nostra avventura è iniziata con la mia prima sfida: trovare parcheggio per il Mercedes Sprinter 😄 Avendo un tour Everglades con 14 crocieristi subito dopo lo sbarco del 16 maggio, la logistica era fondamentale!
Abbiamo viaggiato in Aurea e, personalmente, la sceglierei sempre: imbarco prioritario, cabina con ampia veranda, accesso alla splendida spa e soprattutto la libertà di poter cenare al ristorante senza un orario fisso prestabilito.
Un altro aspetto che ci ha colpito molto è stata l’organizzazione. Il check-in all’imbarco è stato velocissimo, anche grazie alla preregistrazione fatta in anticipo. Ma ancora più sorprendente è stato lo sbarco: tutto automatizzato con riconoscimento facciale e alle 7:45 del mattino eravamo già fuori dalla nave.

Tutte le escursioni durante questa crociera sono state prenotate direttamente con MSC, ad eccezione di Costa Maya.
🌴 Roatan (Tabyana Beach): acqua cristallina e spiaggia meravigliosa. Unica nota meno positiva: il cibo incluso, decisamente migliorabile.
🏝 Cozumel – Isla Mia: purtroppo questa escursione MSC per noi è stata una delusione.
🌊 Costa Maya: nessuna escursione prenotata. Abbiamo preso un taxi dal porto ed esplorato in autonomia. All’inizio un piccolo assalto dei venditori 😄, ma poi giornata rilassante e ottima scelta fermarsi a mangiare in un ristorante più interno, con prezzi migliori e cibo molto buono.
🐚 Ocean Cay: molto bella e rilassante, anche se si percepisce il fatto che sia un’isola artificiale trasformata in destinazione per crocieristi.
La nave è enorme e modernissima, quasi un centro commerciale galleggiante. Però appena si lascia Miami e si prende il mare arriva quella sensazione speciale di staccare completamente dalla quotidianità. Ed è questa forse la magia più bella della crociera.
Nel complesso: esperienza davvero fantastica.
E adesso... siamo già pronti per la prossima crociera 🚢😊
