Miami DDA The Miami Downtown Development Authority grows & strengthens the economic health of Downtown Miami.

The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is committed to improving the quality of life for businesses, employees, residents, and visitors in downtown Miami. As an independent agency of the City of Miami, the Miami DDA supports business growth, infrastructure improvements, and services for Downtown Miami residents and stakeholders. In addition to its programs and initiatives, the Miami DDA is partnering with the City and other government entities to strengthen Downtown Miami’s position as an international center for commerce, culture, and tourism. The organization is governed by a 15-member board comprised of three public appointees and 12 downtown property owners, residents and/or workers. Shaping the future of Downtown Miami!

Last week, the Miami DDA hosted an interactive Open House as part of the Downtown Miami Master Plan update, creating a long-term vision for our Central Business District through 2050.

From housing and transportation to walkability, public spaces, the waterfront, arts and culture, economic development, and resilience, we’re looking ahead to what Downtown Miami needs over the next 25 years.

🎉 Congratulations to the 2026–2027 Downtown Creative Collaborator Grant recipients!

At the Miami DDA, we’re proud to support the creatives, cultural organizations, and community partners who bring people together through art, culture, music, and family-friendly events and activations everyone can enjoy.

This year, we received 95 applications, each with a unique vision for Downtown Miami. We’re excited to support these 25 projects that will activate our neighborhoods, create shared experiences, and give residents and visitors even more reasons to enjoy our urban core.

Public safety is an important part of a thriving Downtown. 🚔

The City of Miami Police Department is increasing foot and bicycle patrols in Downtown Miami, while federal funding will support 24 additional officer positions serving Brickell, Downtown Miami, and Edgewater.

A more visible police presence and continued collaboration with our community are important parts of supporting the people who live, work, and visit Downtown.
