In November 2024, the Miami DDA Board approved a grant to the City of Miami Police Department funding the purchase, installation, and maintenance of License Plate Readers (LPRs) and security cameras across our three districts—strengthening safety and police presence. Through the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC), the City of Miami PD are actively monitoring the new cameras. Installations have begun in the Central Business District, with plans to expand into and later this year.

The Miami DDA and City of Miami PD remain committed to working together to advance this initiative, prioritizing public safety and ensuring that all of remains a secure and welcoming environment for all.
