Field Marshal Charles Ronald Llewelyn Guthrie, Baron Guthrie of Craigiebank, GCB, GCVO, OBE, DL (17 November 1938 – 18 September 2025) I met this gentleman at Old North Church some years ago. It was at reception for raising funds for the British Soldier Fund in America. An absolute pleasure to talk to, and engaging. I am very sorry to hear of this passing. RIP, Sir Job Done! 💙❤️💙💂‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

To be fair on on October 21st 1997 this ship was launched. Still a commissioned ship in the U.S. Navy and oldest such ship a float in the world. HMS Victory is the oldest commissioned warship in the world, but in permanent dry dock

Back in February the company I did tours of the Freedom Trail for, let me go. I have my own tour company, https://www.facebook.com/NewEnglandMilitaryHistoryTours An idea from dear friend Mr. Keith Taylor. Who once asked me if I knew anyone who did tours of Boston. I said yeah me! Keith at the time was the Chairman of the Trustees of the British Army Benevolent Fund America. An organization the helps British Veterans and their families in need here in the United States. So I set up this company to do tours for British Military Serving and Veterans. But I added US Serving militAry and Veterans, as well. But civilians are welcome just as well. I have done several tours for them in the past. So if you a Veteran or Serving of the UK or the US military and visiting Boston please get in touch via my page. If not Vet you are just welcome to take tour.

And the hits keep on coming. Well as of yesterday I got a letter saying I will not be invited back to do tours of the Freedom Trail in Boston by the tour company I worked for the past 14 years. So my own tour company is still up an running, see my New England Military History Tours page. To all the great tour guides I worked with I will see by and by intown. I may also start doing some 1st person gigs as Judge Peter Oliver, with guidance from my friend Mike LePage. New adventures await as well as new unit of Marines.
