Most people fly into Lisbon, spend three days in the city, and leave. That's like visiting California and never leaving the airport hotel. 🇵🇹

30 minutes west by train, the coastline breaks open into something that doesn't look real — golden cliffs dropping into water so blue it almost looks edited. This is Cascais. A former royal retreat turned into one of the most beautiful and least crowded coastal towns in southern Europe.

The old town is the kind of place where you lose two hours wandering narrow streets without trying. The marina looks like it was designed for a film set. And at Boca do Inferno — "Hell's Mouth" — the Atlantic crashes into a sea cave with enough force to remind you the ocean is not decorative.

Dinner is grilled fish that was swimming that morning, a cold glass of vinho verde, and a sunset that makes you wonder what you've been doing with your PTO.
