My Valiant Lady Recap: Adults-Only Cruising!

My husband and I recently sailed aboard Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady, and we loved experiencing the adults-only atmosphere!

Scarlet Night was a highlight, with red outfits, music, entertainment, and plenty of energy. Pack something RED! ❤️

We also enjoyed the Pajamas Party, where guests dressed in their favorite PJs for a night of music and fun. It’s such a unique cruise experience!

For a more relaxed vibe, Sip Lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy ch*****ne and take in the atmosphere.

When it comes to dining, Pink Agave was a standout with its delicious Mexican-inspired cuisine and stylish setting. The Wake is another great option if you’re craving elevated steak and seafood.

And for late-night cravings, The Pizza Place is open until 2 AM!

My takeaway? Virgin Voyages offers a fun mix of sophistication, freedom, entertainment, and delicious dining, all in an adults-only setting.

Back from my first Virgin Voyages sailing, but still thinking about the experience!

I’m back home after spending time aboard Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady for a Seminar at Sea sailing to Bermuda, and I’m bringing back more than just photos and memories!

There’s a difference between recommending a vacation based on what you’ve read and helping someone make a decision based on firsthand experience and industry knowledge. I want to continue bringing that level of care to every trip I curate through Rich Events.

Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing a little more from my sailing to Bermuda, including my experience aboard Virgin Voyages and some things worth knowing if you’ve been curious about cruising with them.

Portugal had me at Lisbon…but Porto and the w**e country said, “Don’t forget about us!” 🇵🇹🍷

Lisbon may get a lot of the attention, but if Portugal is on your travel list, Porto and the Douro Valley deserve a spot on that itinerary too.

Imagine spending your day wandering the colorful streets of Porto, enjoying amazing Portuguese food, sipping Port w**e…and then heading into the Douro Valley, where vineyards stretch across rolling hills overlooking the river.

Portugal is perfect for the traveler who loves a little culture, a little luxury, great food and, of course…a good glass of w**e.

So, I have a question…

Hello, September! Europe is calling…

There’s something special about traveling to Europe in the fall. The summer crowds begin to fade, the temperatures are more comfortable, and you can slow down and truly enjoy the culture, food, history, and beauty of each destination.

Listen…if you’re going to shop while traveling, you need to know how to shop SMART! 🛍️✈️🇮🇹

One thing I love about international travel is discovering that shopping can actually be part of the experience. And when you're shopping in places like Milan, understanding the VAT refund can make a BIG difference in what you ultimately pay.

If you're a U.S. traveler and you purchase eligible goods in Italy, you may be able to reclaim some of the VAT (Value Added Tax) you paid before leaving the EU. Italy's standard VAT rate is 22%, although the actual amount you receive back is less because refund providers may deduct fees.

Here's what you need to know: Your potential refund is tied to your eligible purchase amount, so that designer handbag, beautiful coat, shoes or luxury purchase you've been eyeing can become even more attractive when you factor in the VAT refund.

But there's a catch…

You have to do it correctly!
✔️ Shop at stores that participate in Tax Free Shopping
✔️ Have your passport with you
✔️ Request your Tax Free paperwork at the time of purchase
✔️ Keep your receipts and purchases
✔️ Complete the customs/refund process before leaving the EU

And remember…the refund isn't automatically the full 22%. The refund amount depends on the purchase and the provider's fees.

This is why I tell my travelers don't just travel, learn how to travel SMART!
