Our pottery class in Italy was so much more than a creative activity—it was a chance to connect with the rich heritage of Magna Graecia and the soul of Southern Italy.

Squillace is a place where the art of terracotta and ceramics has been part of the local identity for centuries. Taking part in this experience in such a special village, guided by a remarkable artisan who has been running her workshop for more than 50 years, was truly moving.

As we shaped the clay with our hands, we were also connecting with a tradition that has been passed down through generations. It was a beautiful reminder of the value of craftsmanship, culture, and community.

We all left with something meaningful: not only the pieces we created, but also a deeper appreciation for this extraordinary place and the people who keep its traditions alive.NastalTravel
