The Keukenhof Gardens were gorgeous! It was opening day so not everything has bloomed yet, but it was still amazing. We had bright blue skies and warm weather! Definitely a “must see” on any visit to The Netherlands!

Events like the ASTA River Cruise Expo are so beneficial in so many ways. Experiencing the dining, accommodations, entertainment, and service on each of the cruise lines is critical for me to be able to put my clients on the right ships. The first session of the ASTA River Cruise Expo featured presentations from all 10 of the cruise lines represented here today. The keynote speaker was Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love. She was fantastic and delivered a wonderful message about being present in your life. Great way to start the day!

My River Cruise Expo started today with a tour of a wonderful hotel called The Pulitzer. This quaint hotel is located in the center of the city very close to the Anne Frank House. It offers 200 rooms and is comprised of 25 row houses that are connected by stairways, walkways and outdoor gardens. The Pulitzer is a great option for a stay in the beautiful city of Amsterdam!

Trains in Europe are so easy to navigate and Amsterdam is no exception. Today we took the train from the Schipol airport to Centraal Station. The train station is in the airport and you can easily buy your ticket from a kiosk. It cost 7 Euros per person and the ride took about 15 minutes. We then had a quick walk to our lovely hotel; the Kimpton DeWitt. Travel tip for today… staying at a hotel near Centraal Station allows for easy, inexpensive transportation from the airport and puts you right in the heart of this beautiful city! As part of my Disney training, I was able to tour some of the resorts that have new additions or recent renovations. The new Island Tower at Polynesian, the cabins at Fort Wilderness, Cascade Cabins at Wilderness Lodge, and the new rooms at Boardwalk did not disappoint! Who’s ready to go to Disney? There’s so many great places to stay!
