Come join me on a river cruise! I’m so excited to share an AMA Waterways sailing called Swiss Alps and Rhine Castles, a beautiful 8 day itinerary that begins in Basel, Switzerland on June 13, 2028, and ends in Amsterdam 8 quick days later.

Let’s talk about life on a 48 ft catamaran! Sailing around the BVI’s is a wonderful way to vacation! But living on a boat for a week has some challenges. The bathrooms on our boat were pretty, functional, but tiny! There’s really no separate shower (the whole bathroom kind of becomes the shower) and you use a hand held sprayer. (See pics 1 and 2 for the “shower” in the smallest bathroom) The boat makes it own water, so you have to shower quickly to conserve it. This means turning it on, getting wet, and then turning it off to lather up and wash your hair. Then you rinse off! It definitely took some practice to not get everything soaking wet… but we all figured it out!

A vacation to the BVIs offers so many beautiful places to visit! Anegada is one of the more memorable stops due to its unique landscape. Days here can be spent on the beach, snorkeling, or visiting one (or more!) of the bars scattered around. We had a blast at Tipsy’s which was just a quick cab ride away. No visit to Anegada would be complete without their world-famous grilled lobster served right on the beach. 🍹🦞☀️⛵️
