We specialize in teaching new anglers how to approach bass fishing. If you want to learn a new lake, new technique etc. We are a Veteran owned and operated business. We offer half and full day trips, $350 full / $250 half. Our home lake is Joe Pool, and we offer services on most DFW area lakes. Equipment can be provided upon request, we use all high quality equipment. Skeeter FX20 powered by a 250

Yamaha SHO, Lowrance electronics, TFO rods, Lews reels, Vicious fishing line. Give us a call or send an email and lets get you out on the water. We also offer a new boat owner instruction, this includes launching and trailering boat, navigating, electronics, and all safety tips.

This past Friday we had Brad, his wife Jordan and son Peyton from Little Rock. They were in town celebrating Peyton’s birthday and fishing was on the list of things to do. We got out on Lake Alvarado before the heat kicked in, no wind made the bite tough but once a breeze blew in the bite was on. We landed several nice fish before the heat. Thanks goes out to Jordan for the nice pics. After fishing we all went to the Cowboys vs. Saints game. You gotta love a family that likes to fish together and also Cowboys fans! Friday we had Roman, his wife Irina and son Peter visiting from Moscow. We had a good day out on the water and everyone caught their first US Texas bass. We love trips like this where the whole family goes, every now and then we had to do a little ducking from Peter’s cast. We can now check off Russia from our international visitors. Yesterday we took out Airforce veteran Caleb and his two boys Everett and Odell all the way from Maryland. It’s always a great day when you have fellow veterans along with father/son trips. This trip was full of excitement from a little battery technical difficulty to battle of the brothers, to a little auto inflate life jacket excitement. It didn’t take the boys long to figure out how to catch them and have some good fun. Check out the pics and you’ll see it was a great day. Thanks again Caleb for giving GTB Outdoors the chance. 🎣

Saturday we took repeat client Jon and his son James, always good to have a father/son trip. From the beginning I sensed a little competition and trash talking. Fishing was good with several fish caught and memories made. On this trip it seems Jon had the hot hand, a lot was learned for future fishing outings and that is always a plus. This trip was a last summer getaway before school starts. Thanks again Jon for giving us the call, we’ll see you guys again hopefully during spring break!

Last week Seth bassaddict.fishing got in his last trip before heading back to school and competing on the collegiate trails. He took out Paul and his son, they were in town from Washington state dropping off his daughter at Tarleton. The bite was pretty decent considering the heat we are experiencing. Seth ran the other half of the double morning trip with Eric a pilot from LA. Eric had a down day here in the DFW and wanted to make the most of it. He definitely took advantage of the bite that’s happening on Alvarado. Several nice keepers and I was told the urchin style bait did the damage. Yesterday we closed out a busy week with double morning trips, I took out Jakobi and his buddy Dre from Denison. We hit lake Alvarado and the fish cooperated, they landed a few along with some quick releases at the boat. All in all a good trip in this Texas heat! Saturday we had Ryan and his son Charlie from OKC, while in town they figure they might as well fish. Both pretty new to bass fishing were quick learners and put a few in the boat. Charlie now has a new PB as well as catching his first bass. What a fun trip and nothing like making father/son memories! We hit Alvarado being it was the weekend to dodge ski traffic. The bite has been pretty consistent thanks to Black Label Soft Baits 7” hollow point worm. Thanks again for trusting GTB Outdoors with your adventure.

Wednesday was a daddy/daughter trip. Dusty and Elsie was down from Nebraska visiting. We hit lake Alvarado and the fish were biting, Elsie was able to catch her first bass along with a few more to go with it. Fun day on the water making memories that will last forever! Tuesday we took out Jacob and his son Eli, they are here visiting from Japan. Jacob is in the Navy stationed in Japan, Thanks for your service! I think I stumbled into a little father son bragging rights competition. Eli was putting it on his dad, but then the heat kicked in and dad began to catch up as the heat was beating Eli. This was Eli’s first time catching a bass, so once again there were several first times for Eli. All in all a lot of fun was had in the boat that day along with lasting memories. Thanks again Jacob for choosing GTB Outdoors!
