First-time cruisers: here’s a small cabin tip to help you stay organized—pack a few magnetic hooks. 🧲

Ship walls are metal, so you can stick them anywhere. Perfect for keeping things from ending up in a pile on the desk or floor.

We use these heavy-duty hooks and they hold up surprisingly well.

Ue them for wet swimsuits👙, towels, lanyards and hats🧢, small bags, you name it.
Put them on the door for grab-and-go items like our keycards and coffee punch cards.

A small hack, but super helpful!

Are you new to the world of cruising, or want to be?

A short four-night getaway is the ultimate way to test the waters and see why so many people get hooked on cruise vacations.

Here is an awesome introductory cruise I am working on for another group.

Perfect First-Time Itinerary (Jan 7 – Jan 11)
Carnival Cruise Line aboard the Carnival Freedom
Departing from Port Canaveral, FL
with a stop at the brand-new private destination Celebration Key and a fun day at sea
Starting around $428 including taxes and gratuities.

What's Included: Your cabin, basic drinks (iced tea, water), Broadway-style entertainment, and all-you-can-eat main dining.

What Costs Extra: Alcoholic drinks, sodas, specialty restaurants, shore excursions, and daily onboard tips (gratuities).

Pick the Right Cabin: As a beginner, book a Midship Cabin on a lower deck. This area experiences the absolute least amount of motion.

Arrive Early: Always arrive in your departure city the day before, or early that morning. The ship will not wait for delayed traffic or flights!

First‑Time Cruiser Checklist (just the Basics)
✅Before You Book >6 months
Check passport expiration (must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date)
Plan pet sitting services-summer travel dates fill fast

✅Before You Leave 1-3 months prior
Set up cruise app (daily schedule, dining, reservations)
Confirm travel insurance
Pre‑book excursions (they fill fast)
Determine the need for local currency-place order if needed

✅Before You Leave 2-4 weeks prior
Complete online check‑in with cruise line
Print/download boarding pass & luggage tags
Arrange transportation to port
Notify bank of international travel
Stop mail or ask family to check it
Finalize your personal packlist

✅Before You Leave last 1-14 days prior
Begin working on your packlist--I'll attach my packlist in a separate post. Remember, mine may vary from yours
