Hi, Mary here. Chase on our team brought us a referral 🥰 for a couple who were moving from their home of 40 years in Salt Lake to California. For the past six weeks, we have helped with every aspect of their move. We went through each item in the home with them—decluttered, donated, sent items to consignment, sent piles of trash to the dump, packed up oodles of art and decor and then everything else. All of on deck! I hired their movers and set up the car delivery, and worked with the property manager in CA to ensure a smooth transition.

After a long day of overseeing the loading of the moving truck and locking up the house for the last time, I drove to their beautiful new home 14 hours to the west and coordinated the unpack. There have been challenges to overcome (no water at the new house for four days!) and deep exhaustion from working many long days in a row, but this has been one of the most rewarding projects ever and we have become the dearest of friends. 👯 It will be hard to say goodbye today after hours of time together nearly every day for six weeks!

I’ll post some videos of the process after some r&r in nearby national parks (of course!)… To be continued…

We don’t post often about ourselves, but here’s a little peek into what is going on for Mary and Sarah, co-owners of Whole Package Organizing.

Sarah is currently taking a coaching course to become certified to help ADHD clients. I’m proud of her hard work, juggling classes in between organizing jobs, accounting, new client phone calls, and being a mom. She has taken up glass cutting as a hobby and made this lovely stained glass scene for my birthday!

I purchased a new little travel trailer and spend every free minute organizing it. When not on a camping adventure, it’s my cozy office space!

We are grateful for all of our clients and independent contractors who make WPO a wonderful thing to be a part of!

Sometimes pictures don’t capture the true essence of a job, but I share them anyway because we hear that you like to see real life houses with real life scenarios.

This was a travel organizing job to Boise, Idaho. The client found us through .a.life ‘s posts about us, and I am so glad she did. In addition to organizing and decluttering a couple of closets, we sorted through the family’s memories—papers, framed photos, and evidences of a full life with children and medical challenges and busy schedules. As we sorted, we talked. And as we ate meals together, I observed.
This was a unique situation where I was able to stay with the family for three days while we worked.

I was profoundly impacted by my experience. This family is full of love, mutual respect, enthusiasm, and encouragement.

Sifting through to find what is important is a wonderful exercise. Decluttering creates calm and order. But ultimately, the words and smiles and responses we choose to give our family members make the biggest impact of all.

I can’t wait to return to help this family with a move in the future as they build their dream home, but I know they already have one now. ❤️ Thank you for your example.

Thank you to everyone across the US who has inquired about us coming to organize your homes! We’ve gotten a ton of new requests thanks to .a.life 😘 and are working on mapping out our availability to get to wherever you are as soon as possible. Let’s answer a few questions:

“How much will this cost?” (may be lower or higher based on airfare/accommodations in your area):
$3500 for one organizer, $7000 for two

“How much of my home can you organize?”(based on typical level of clutter):
one organizer = 3-4 rooms,
two organizers = whole house,
add a third to include garage or storage unit, or for a high level of clutter.

“How long will you be here?” (standard): usually two long days plus half of a third

“Are there any less expensive options?”
Yes. If your timing is flexible, we can put you on a list and whenever I’m already heading to your area, I’ll organize for greatly reduced travel costs.

“Can you find me an organizer in my area?”
Absolutely, happy to research great organizing companies near you and connect you with them for $75.
