On March 3rd 1934, John Dillinger walked out of the Old Lake County Jail in Crown Point, Indiana.
The building was considered the finest and most escape-proof in the state. He locked fourteen jailers in their own cells, took two hostages, and drove off in the sheriff's own car. Four months later he was dead on a Chicago sidewalk.
Ninety years on, the cell blocks still stand. The doors still open on their own. The bars still rattle in cells that have been empty since 1974. One paranormal investigator with twenty years in the field has called it one of only three locations in their entire career where the activity was too much to continue.

On Saturday July 18th, Haunted Rooms America is taking over the Old Lake County Jail and Sheriff's House for a six-hour guided investigation. The cell blocks. Dillinger's cell. The upper walkways. The kitchen door he walked out of.
