✈️ Travel Tip Alert from Your Travel Advisor! ✈️
Are you tired of squeezing your favorite products into tiny travel-sized bottles? Good news! The TSA liquid rules are evolving, and there might be some exciting changes that could impact your carry-on packing!
While the familiar 3-1-1 rule (3.4 ounces/100 milliliters per container, fitting in one quart-sized bag, one bag per passenger) still largely applies to most personal care items, there's a buzz about new technology at select airports that allows full-size liquids for certain approved items. This is thanks to advanced 3D scanners that provide a more detailed view of your bag's contents.
What does this mean for you?
* The 3-1-1 rule is still in effect for the majority of liquids, gels, and aerosols. Think shampoos, lotions, and perfumes. If it exceeds 3.4 oz, it must still be placed in your checked bag.
* Exceptions like medically necessary liquids, baby formula, breast milk, and duty-free liquids are still permitted in larger quantities – just be sure to declare them to a TSA officer.
* Keep an eye out for updates on specific airports and the list of approved full-size items, as these new allowances may be of interest to you. It's not yet universal!
