I can smell the brats and giant pretzels from here. It's Octoberfest time in Milwaukee and Sunday looks like it is going to be a great day to ride (it's a bye week for the Packers). Here is a suggested ride for the weekend. Start at the Urban Ecology Center and take the trail to the Hubbard Park Beer Garden which has great views of the river. Continue on the trail heading north to Estabrook Park Beer Garden, America's 1st public beer garden since prohibition! Make sure to bring a $5 deposit for the the stein. Then head north through the park to Hampton Ave, turn right and pick up the Oak Leaf trail heading north to Edgewater Ln, follow Edgewater to visit our friends at the Bavarian Bierhaus. If you haven't been to the Bavarian Bierhaus you will be amazed at that great job they have done with remodeling, they now brew their own beer. Round trip this ride is about 8.5 miles. If you haven't had you fill of beer gardens you can also check-out the Marcus Center Octoberfest in Pere Marquette Park. If you are in need of a bike give us call at 414 550-1512 or visit www.superfuntimebikes.com, we can help you out with a bike rental. Prost everyone!
