American Girl dolls began 40 years ago in Madison, then Middleton, with dolls and books about girls living in historical eras.

Founder Pleasant Rowland wanted everything to be historically accurate and used the Wisconsin Historical Society for her research.

It has grown into one of the nation's most beloved brands and it all started in Wisconsin 😀

Did you know that Sheboygan is known as the Malibu of the Midwest for it's surf scene? The Freshwater Surf Capital sits on the the eastern shore of Wisconsin on Lake Michigan. Prime surf season is September until May (yes, winter surfing!)
