16 Annual Salmon School

Cost: $75 per person. Includes instruction, coffeeand doughnuts to start your day. Lunch will be provided!

R&R the Fishin’ Hole has moved into a much larger location with a dedicated classroom area so we are going back to our roots.

This class will cover everything from basic set ups to advanced trolling tactics to make you a better salmon and trout fisherman on Lake Michigan. We will begin with early spring Brown Trout fishing and take you through each separate species throughout the season covering how to target Coho, Chinook, Rainbow Trout, and Lake Trout. This is my 16th year doing these classes. I have had great feedback on how it helps cut the learning curve for fishing the big lake and how much money it saves in the long run. We will help you understand fish movements, water temperatures, using your electronics, bait choices and everything in between. I am also going to take the time to explain a little bit about how fish stocking affects our fishery from year to year and some other science stuff!

We again will have Captain Brent Narloch of Sunrise Charters join us! He is a local charter captain and great fisherman he will discuss his take on day-to-day tactics and trends we experienced last season! Truly an outside the box thinker with great info.

It’s been a common trend that you’ve probably heard all of us in the charter business talking about this year. There are not enough words to describe it. In all of my years of fishing, it’s at the very top, day in and day out. As we know, all great things come to an end at some point, although now is not that time, I can tell you this won’t last forever. Hopefully the next few summers will continue this way. Happy Monday, everyone! I want to take a moment to reflect on last week’s Salmon-a-Rama tournament. First off, a huge thank you to my customers and crew for coming out—it was a lot of fun, and the fishing was fantastic. We went out on 14 trips over the week, and all but one trip brought in double-digit catches, including a limit and a lot of very nice sized cohos and kings! Six fish brought aboard O'Fishal Business were registered. Even though we didn't catch the big one, the week was still very much a success.

Keep in mind that the fishing remains excellent, and I have openings available. Please reach out to me ASAP if you want to try and witness this high level of fishing.

One more thanks to everyone who came out this past week and throughout the year so far. I look forward to future trips. I couldn’t do this without you all!

Finally a morning with no storms and unexpected wind and boy did the big ones come to play. Salmon-a-Rama is starting July 13th to the 21st if your looking to go fishing and to have a shot at winning some money. That's the week to go feel free to give me a call to book a trip.

Hello everyone! Quick update on fishing and upcoming events! By now, most of you have probably heard about the fantastic fishing we've been experiencing in the Milwaukee area these past few weeks. It's been as good as it gets with limit after limit. While it will slow down eventually, it's a great sign for the Coho population in our Great Lake. As the cohos start to spread out, we're seeing Kings and Steelheads showing up in the area, keeping the action red hot.

Mark your calendars for Salmon-A-Rama, happening from July 13th-21st! Every year, O’fishal Business participates in the tournament, giving all my customers fishing during these dates a chance to win money or prizes for their catch. You never know what's going to be on the end of that line – it could be a fish worth thousands of dollars. This year, they've added some fantastic prizes, and the winner of the biggest fish will take home $50,000!

The Cohos have started to spread out a little and have made us work for them. But with good friends on the water where able to work together to stay on them. Where also starting to see some Kings and Rainbows showing up nice to see. Also a huge shout out to Fishboy's Custom Ice Rods and Jigs for fixing a rod guide and for making me the best downrgger rods i've ever used.

This weekend was great once again. 2 groups went home happy with great trips. Plenty of week days left and I do have June 22nd and 29th available if anyone's looking to get out.
