Fishing in Milwaukee has been absolutely awesome lately! The coho bite is on, and this weekend was packed with great fishing, good memories, and smiling faces all around.

One of the best moments of the weekend was watching Olivia, My daughter, finally hook into and land a coho on her Fishboy's Custom Ice Rods and Jigs! Safe to say that rod is officially broken in now.

The fish are here, the action has been steady, and it’s shaping up to be an incredible season on Lake Michigan. If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the water, now is the time!

Coho fishing in Milwaukee has been pretty solid over the last few trips, but this weather needs to settle down. From crazy shear winds on Saturday to waking up to 25 mph north winds on Sunday, it’s definitely been a grind. Can’t wait for some stable, warm weather so the bite can really take off.

The coho have "O Fishally" shown up in Milwaukee and the bite is on! If you’ve been thinking about getting out on the water, now’s the time—reach out and let’s get you on some fish.

One thing to keep in mind when booking a trip: not all charters are created equal. The cheaper option isn’t always the better experience. You could end up fishing in a tiny open boat with no roof… or you could be on a comfortable, fully equipped boat with an enclosure and a bathroom.

Do a little homework on the company you’re booking with so you get the experience you’re looking for. If you want a fun, comfortable trip and a great shot at filling the cooler with coho, I’ve got you covered. Shoot me a message and let’s get you on the lake!

17 Annual Salmon School

When: Saturday, March 14th 9am-3pm please arrive early to get your handouts. Lunch will be served around noon.

Where: R and R Fishin Hole 3048 E Layton Ave St. Francis, WI 53235

Cost: $75 per person. Includes instruction, coffeeand doughnuts to start your day. Lunch will be provided!

R&R the Fishin’ Hole has moved into a much larger location with a dedicated classroom area so we are going back to our roots. This class will cover everything from basic set ups to advanced trolling tactics to make you a better salmon and trout fisherman on Lake Michigan. We will begin with early spring Brown Trout fishing and take you through each separate species throughout the season covering how to target Coho, Chinook, Rainbow Trout, and Lake Trout. This is my 17th year doing these classes. I have had great feedback on how it helps cut the learning curve for fishing the big lake and how much money it saves in the long run. We will help you understand fish movements, water temperatures, using your electronics, bait choices and everything in between. I am also going to take the time to explain a little bit about how fish stocking affects our fishery from year to year and some other science stuff!

We again will have Captain Brent Narloch of Sunrise Charters join us! He is a local charter captain and great fisherman he will discuss his take on day-to-day tactics and trends we experienced last season! Truly an outside the box thinker with great info.

As the fishing season has come to a close, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all my amazing customers—both new faces and loyal returning anglers! Your passion and support have made this season truly unforgettable.

This season showcased an incredible fish population, making most every trip out to the water a rewarding experience. It’s been a pleasure to share these great moments with all of you.

I also want to give a big shoutout to the Wisconsin Lakeshore Business Association (WLBA) for their dedication and success in supporting our lakes and promoting sustainable fishing. Their hard work benefits our entire community.

Here’s to a fantastic season behind us and many more fishing adventures ahead! Tight lines and safe travels during the holiday season!
