Great Cabin

My wife and I come to North Georgia annually for our anniversary or birthdays and always chose to stay in a cabin, however they always seem to be a bit far from the towns in the surrounding area, not the case with Woodhaven! it literally take a few minutes and you are in downtown Blue Ridge which is one of our favorite places as the tend to have some of the best restaurants. The cabin was extremely clean, easiest checkin process, the hot tub in front of the outdoor fireplace was awesome along with the deer feeder down by the creek.The cabin utilizes google which made it extremely easy to turn on and off lights along with controlling the AC. The cabin is extremely well maintained and felt very new! Just a wonderful experience all around.

AMAZING!

Woodhaven is one of the best VRBO properties we have encountered. Not only is it impeccable clean, there is everything you could want for a relaxing vacation. The covered porches, hot tub, beautiful linens, gorgeous hardwood floors on a gorgeous lot. The owner engaged with us from the beginning and checked in with us. We will return and we highly recommend you try it!

Perfect Family Weekend for Multiple Ages

This was the perfect house for a relaxing getaway with our group of 10, including kids of multiple ages! There was really something for everyone to do and plenty of space to do it in. The kids loved the variety of games and the adults appreciated the peaceful screened porch. Special touches throughout the house made it warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well-stocked and there was an abundance of amenities like soap, toilet paper, and more. The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. Although we had planned on doing several activities in the area, there was plenty of things to do at the house and we ended up spending most of our time just relaxing and enjoying family time.

With no school breaks or other holidays, May is a bit of an off season and weekday rates are currently at some of our lowest for the whole year. While it is starting to get hot here in Florida, the weather is absolutely beautiful in the mountains!

Many Guests looking for Mountain Vacation Rentals all seem to want that amazing long range mountain view. While that view is in abundance just minutes in any direction from our cabin, we do not have that view right from our property. What we do offer is a wooded mountain view with complete relaxation that melts the stress away.

For the rest of April, we have reduced our weekday rates to less than $200 a night and the two remaining weekends are reduced approximately 10% off our normal rates.

Hello fellow owners and potential renters,
Take a moment to look over this petition. It is concerning HB 317, which is proposing to add $5 a night to short term rentals in the state of Georgia.

For renters this obviously means an increase in the amount you will have to pay on your for your vacation stay.

For owners this could mean less occupancy as people choose to stay in neighboring states such as TN, NC, and FL where they may not have to pay as much in taxes.

There is currently a $5 a night fee applied to Hotel lodging, they want to expand the definition of innkeeper to apply to short term rentals so our guests too would have to pay this additional tax.

Short Term rental guests already pay 12-15% in taxes depending on the county and if you feel our guests do not need to be paying any more than please take a moment to sign this petition. People have called and written emails in opposition already but apparently the message isn't getting through to the Speaker of the House so hopefully a public petition won't be able to be ignored.

A potential vote may take place Monday, so if you agree please also share this with your friends and renters so that we can get as many signatures as possible!

I am not a politician or professional petition writer by any means, just a concerned STR property owner. So please add your opinions when you sign the petition, so these lawmakers can hear how everyone feels about this.

It snowed last night for the first time since we have owned Woodhaven! It started snowing about 7pm or so on 11/30. These pictures are from 8am on 12/1. I have seen some reports that there was an 1.5 in of snowfall. But it looks like just a dusting out at our cabin.

Heading up this week ourselves to decorate for the holiday season and for a weekend away. We still have some dates open in Dec and pretty much full availability for January.
