Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway

Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway Scioto-823 is a 16-mile, four-lane limited access highway from U.S. 23 at Lucasville to U.S. 52 near Sciotoville in Scioto County, Ohio.

Through a public-private partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Portsmouth Gateway Group is constructing of the new state Route 823 in Scioto County. Upon its completion, the Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway will be a 16-mile, four-lane limited access highway from U.S. 23 north of Lucasville to U.S. 52 near Sciotoville. The design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM)

SCIOTO CO: SR 823 NB is reduced to one lane due to a crash. Duration of this restriction is unknown at this time. Drivers are advised to proceed through the area with caution, and remember to move over and slow down for all vehicles equipped with flashing lights!
