Patagonia isn't the kind of place you forget.
The silence, the spaces and a sense of feeling truly reomte.
The world slowed down as you linger to soak up every moment.
You don't just visit Patagonia - you live and breathe it.
And it tends to stay with you.

What stayed with you most?

"We had an amazing trip. I felt our itinerary was a perfect overview for our first trip to Argentina and Chile. I enjoyed all the places we visited, but thoroughly enjoyed Patagonia and would love to return one day. Our time in Patagonia was bookended by our biggest hikes - Laguna de Los Tres and Mirador Las Torres. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do the final kilometer of Laguna de Los Tres due to rain, but the picture perfect weather and breathtaking views from the final kilometer climb of Mirador Las Torres was the exclamation point of our time in Patagonia."

Knowmad travelers Kathy and Nathan Schwerdfeger loved their trip during the Fall shoulder season.

Calling all trail runners!

Dreaming of running in Patagonia? Shoulder season is the sweet spot: fewer crowds, centuries-old forests, cool running temps, and trails that feel entirely yours. In Chile, The Patagonia Camp Cup is your chance to experience Torres del Paine beyond the peak-season rush.

On May 2, Patagonia Camp Cup celebrated its 9th edition, with competitors participating in 5 km, 15 km, 21 km, and 42 km.

Would you rather run surrounded by autumn colors or spring blossoms?

3 ways to experience Torres del Paine:

Patagonia Camp — Luxury yurts immersed in nature, just steps from the wild beauty of Torres del Paine.

Cerro Guido — A secluded estancia where Patagonian wilderness, gaucho culture, and mountain views come together.

Tierra Patagonia — Striking design, endless pampas views, and one of Patagonia’s most iconic luxury stays.

Which would you choose?

Fall in Patagonia: Is it worth it?

Spectacular sunrises and sunsets,
Quieter trails, deeper colors,
Sunny skies one second, snow the next,
Patagonia in its most rugged version.

Is this your kind of travel?

Patagonia in fall isn’t the easiest time to go.

The weather shifts quickly. Nothing is guaranteed.

But that’s exactly what makes it special.

Fewer people, deeper colors, and a much more raw experience of the region.

Not for everyone—but unforgettable if it’s for you.

Would you travel Patagonia at this time of year?

In Patagonia, estancias have long been part of life across the region’s wide, open landscapes.

These working ranches helped shape the culture of southern Argentina and Chile, where horses are still commonly used to move across the land and manage livestock.

It’s a way of life that remains closely tied to the land.

Set between the mountains and the sea on Brazil’s Costa Verde, Paraty once linked inland gold mines to the coast. Today, its historic center feels much the same, with whitewashed buildings, colorful doors, and uneven cobblestone streets that are still closed to cars.
