Meditation II is starting up again on Sept. 9, and will run for six sessions through Oct. 14. Class will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm CT. Participants can come to the center for class or opt for the Zoom option!

Meditation II focuses on powerful and practical yoga practices that quiet and focus the mind, decreasing our emotional reactivity that often creates stress and pain in our lives and relationships. Lori Beron (RN, MA) and Paul Emerson (PhD) will be your instructors 😊 in this follow-up to our popular Meditation I series. Already taken Meditation II? How about a refresher?

Cynthia and Gary Gran are back with their Ayurveda study group! This week we'll consider "The Three Roots." First, we will look to the 17th-century text "Charaka Samhita" for its description of our basic urges (which to express, moderate, and suppress) and then turn to the three roots, what the Buddhist and Yogic texts see as the causes of all suffering. We will attempt to answer, “How can we live in this world while reducing suffering and fostering peace?”

Our evening program is:
5:30–6:45 pm CT: In-person hatha yoga
7:00–7:30 pm CT: Guided meditation, led by Swami Radha Bharati
7:30–8:30 pm CT: Ayurveda Study Group: “The Three Roots,” with Cynthia & Gary Gran
8:30 pm CT: Evening prayers & goodbyes

Come in person at the center or drop in via Zoom. Link to request Zoom access will be in the comments.

Won't you try it?
