Then it’s RIOT at Cell Block, The Kennel at Jackhammer for our leather and fe**sh folks, Keep It Y2K at Replay if you miss Destiny’s Child as much as I do, and Switch game night at 2Bears. Gay Minneapolis, your weekend is PACKED 🔥

Thursday alone has two trivia nights, Drag Queen Charity Bingo at Roxy’s with Nina DiAngelo and Monica West, AND Werk at the Saloon where you could win $100 just for showing up with talent. No pressure.

Friday is first Friday which means 3-for-1 drinks at the Eagle (yes, THREE for ONE), RuPaul’s Drag Race viewing parties at Lush, Black Hart, and the Eagle, PLUS Roxy’s is doing a Lady Gaga and Friends tribute that you do not want to miss. And then Black Hart in St. Paul is hosting Roulesque — a roulette-themed drag and performance night that honestly sounds like the most chaotic fun you’ll have all week.

Saturday is where it gets impossible to choose. Brunch of Drag at Lush into Drag Bingo, FLAMBOYANCE at Roxy’s, Hot Pink at the Saloon, Kings! Drag After Dark at Lush celebrating drag kings and burlesque, STAMPEDE at the Eagle, and Jumpsuit funk and disco over at Black Hart. Three venues going off at 9 PM — pick a side of the river and commit.

Sunday has dueling drag brunches at Lush and Roxy’s (both are correct answers), a FREE Pulp Fiction screening at Roxy’s, Show Tunes at the Eagle, and the Shower Contest.

Drop a comment if I missed anything.

The Twin Cities q***r scene is bringing the heat this week starting Thursday. Lush has Thursday Trivia at 6pm, and then at 7pm fan-favorite Carolyn Wiger is hosting The Traitors Season 3 Finale watch party in the Lush Theater — it’s free but they’re asking for a suggested $20 donation benefiting the ACLU of Minnesota. If you’re not caught up on Traitors, skip the spoilers and head to Black Hart for the Gay Agenda Comedy show at 8pm followed by the Rose Academy of Burlesque’s Roses & Thorns at 8:30.

Friday is a full send. RuPaul Season 18 premieres at 7pm Central and the viewing parties are everywhere — Lush, Saloon, The Eagle, Black Hart, On The Rox at Roxie’s — so get there early. Then at 9pm, Material Gworl presents Geezy Season at Lush Theater with a mix spanning 2000s Southern Rap to Kylie Minogue for just $10 at the door. And at 10pm, Black Hart brings you 2 D***s Walk Into a Bar with Dick Von D**e and Queenie Von Curves serving up drag AND burlesque — the crossover event we all needed.

Saturday is an all-day marathon. Lush starts the party early with their All-Ages Brunch of Drag at 11am — bring the whole chosen fam — followed by Drag Bingo at 2:30pm, so don’t forget to RSVP. The energy keeps building with Fly Freak Live Music & Aerialists at 6pm, then at 9pm Petunia Pickles presents The Rodeo — a hybrid drag show and dance hall party channeling Shania, Faith Hill, and Dolly. Over at Black Hart at 9:30, Sugar & Spice is throwing a Show Director Celebration honoring the amazing show directors of the Twin Cities. And if you can’t wait for the next Tank weekend, The Eagle has you covered with Leather Night from 9pm to 2am.

Sunday wraps it all up beautifully. First stop: Crave Rooftop for the Catherine O’Hara Celebration Drag Brunch at 10am or 12:30 — honoring the icon who taught us all to just fold it in. Then hit Lush at 3pm for Flash Dance with DJ Shannon Blowtorch, the free monthly early dance party for grown folks who love great music but have stuff to do in the morning.

Drop anything I missed in the comments! 🏳️‍🌈 ***r

Chicago’s q***r scene is going OFF this week and you need to plan accordingly. Thursday night is a battle of reality TV titans — catch The Traitors Season Finale & Reunion at Sidetrack at 8pm, or head to Roscoe’s at 7pm for the House of Villains premiere with Plane Jane and Secret Queen. Bears, don’t sleep on Happy Hour at Jackhammer from 6-10pm either.

Friday is stacked. RuPaul Season 18 viewing parties are taking over basically every gay bar in the city — Sidetrack, Splash, Hydrate Replay, Meeting House, you name it. Pop fans can hit the Kit Kat Club at 6pm for a Madonna Drag Dinner, and if leather is your love language, Gear Night is pulling double duty at the Leather Archives & Museum at 6pm and Jackhammer at 10pm. Yes, you can do both.

Saturday brings the chaos and the healing. Start with Group Therapy at Meeting House Tavern at 2pm (board-uncertified, obviously), or roll up to The River Kitchen + Bar at noon for the Beyoncé Drag Brunch — $60 gets you unlimited food and drinks so don’t even start. Sapphic Saturday takes over Sidetrack at 5pm, and if you want to close the night out right, Cellblock’s Honey Hole & Sticky Disco goes from 8pm until 5am. You’ve been warned.

Sunday is for recovery and round two. Bear Beer Blast at SoFo Tap kicks off at noon, trivia hits Meeting House at 2:30pm, and Sidetrack’s Sunday Funday runs all day with showtunes at 4pm and a dance party at 9pm. Country dancers — Second City Outlaws is holding open auditions at Glenwood Dance Studio at 6pm. The Leather Archives hosts a Kink Klass at 3pm, and Bearaoke at SoFo Tap from 9-1am is the only correct way to close out your weekend. Drop anything I missed in the comments! 🏳️‍🌈
