🌺 Day 1 in Kauai 🌺
1. Waimea Canyon State Park - known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific” and absolutely lived up to the hype. We stopped at so many breathtaking viewpoints and even caught a glimpse of Waipoʻo Falls. Then we made our way into Kōkeʻe State Park for the incredible Kalalau Lookout overlooking the Nāpali Coast. 😍
2. JoJo’s Shave Ice - had to make a quick stop for some Hawaiian shave ice. It was good but we’ve definitely had better.
3. Grabbed lunch at Da Crack Mexican Grinds (not shown here) and it was so good! I got the carne asada burrito bowl. I wish the salsa was spicier but it was still delicious.
4. Poʻipū Beach - the perfect way to end the day, watching sea turtles resting along the shore. 🐢✨

The beauty of Kauai has stolen our hearts 💕

Travelled with two kids under 3 years old & these are all the family friendly things we did on our trip to Kauai:

1. Waimea Canyon State Park - this is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. The scenic drive can be very curvy & winding (highly recommend taking motion sickness pills if you’re prone to it) but so worth it! We stopped at the lookout points & the views were unreal.
2. Waipo'o Falls - this 800 foot waterfall was a scenic stop along our drive in the Waimea Canyon State Park. We literally pulled off to the side of the road for this.
3. Nāpali Coast - we got views of this beautiful coast with valleys & cliffs from the Kalalau Lookout in the Koke'e State Park.
4. Poipu Beach - sea turtles are so majestic 😍 literally the only reason why I wanted to go there was to see the resting turtles. Beautiful beach though!
5. Tree Tunnel - the roads in Kauai are 🤌🏼*chefs kiss* we drove through this canopy of trees on our way back to our hotel from Poipu & it’s so beautiful!
6. Watched the sunrise - 5am alarm was so worth catching the sunrise 🌅
7. Kilauea Lighthouse - stunning cliff views & sightings of seabirds.
8. Hanalei Town - stopped by Hanalei town for some shaved ice & food. Great options for a quick bite 😊
9. Hanalei Bay/Beach - stunning bay in the North Shore! It has just rained for us so it was super humid. My kids did not get in the water as the waves were too strong for them but the lush mountain scenery 😍
10. Wailua Falls - beautiful waterfall and easily seen from the side of the road.
