If you like to do some shopping, there are several large shopping malls within walking or short drive distance:
1. Grand Boulevard at Sandestin
2. Destin Commons
3. Silver Sands Premium Outlets

These are the favorite restaurants we have been to:

1. the Beach House Restaurant Sandestin. It is right on the beach. You will enjoy a nice dinner, gulf view and beautiful sunset at the same time, or grab a drink and hang out with friends in the nearby pool.

2. Thai 9 Cuisine: the food is authentic and tasty. What is more important is that we think it is cooked in a healthier way than most others.

3. The Bavarian's Wirtshaus. authentic German food. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing.

4. The Louisiana Lagniappe. Great food, a bit pricey. We strongly recommend one of their popular items 'fish in the bag'

5. McGuire’s Irish Pub with great food and live Irish entertainment

6. Aegean Restaurant, Greek Cuisine. We were very pleased with the food every time we went.

7. Elmo's Grill

8. Everkrisp: Where Farm meets Fast Food

9. The Roof Top Bar at Hotel Effie

9. Black Bear Bread Co.
