🌳👟 GET OUTSIDE, GET MOVING & ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS! 🌞🐾
After LENZ posted pictures of our trails I wanted to give everyone who didn't know about our trails some more information.

We have some fantastic walking trails right here at the Harrison County Welcome Center & Historical Village? Whether you're looking for a relaxing stroll, a little exercise, or a place for the kids to burn off some energy, we've got you covered!

🥾 LIMESTONE TRAIL (0.34 mile)

Looking for a little challenge? This trail has plenty of stairs and an incline that will give your legs and backside a GREAT workout! 🍑😂

But the climb is worth it! At the top, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view! There's even a bench where you can catch your breath, relax, and take in the scenery. You've earned it!

🚶‍♀️ PAVED TRAIL (0.41 mile)

Want something a little easier? Our paved trail is perfect for a leisurely walk, getting those daily steps in, or letting the kiddos burn off some extra energy!

A few friendly reminders:

Dogs must be on a leash, and please clean up after them.

Our trails are FREE and OPEN YEAR-ROUND!

🌾🌸 A LITTLE NATURE LESSON ALONG THE WAY!

Between our trails and behind the Welcome Center, you'll find a beautiful mix of native prairie grasses, including Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, Indian Grass, and Sideoats.

These aren't just ordinary grasses! Their incredibly deep root systems help prevent soil erosion while providing valuable habitat for birds, insects, and other wildlife. 🦋🐦

And during the summer, keep your eyes open for our beautiful wild roses! 🌹

So grab your walking shoes, bring the kids, leash up the dog, and come explore!

Whether you're working on your fitness goals, enjoying some fresh air, or just need a little break from the daily hustle, our trails are waiting for you!

Walk both trails for a ¾-mile workout, or make two rounds for 1½ miles!
