Festival Information:
The Fall Harvest Festival takes place on the two weekends following Thanksgiving day. This is a time to load up the family and spend a day "down on the farm". While you are visiting us,

you will see the donkey working an old time cane press. Here you can learn about the process of extracting the juice from the sugar cane in preparation to make syrup. Just steps away is the outdoor syrup mill where the juice is boiling over a roaring fire with a sweet aroma that fills the air. Once you have learned about the syrup cooking and have become hungry from the sweet smell, take a trip to the kitchen. We serve homemade biscuits, syrup, sausage and milk gravy. We also offer a chip beef barbeque sandwich. After feeling like you have been to grandma's house you can return to the outdoors and listen to some blue grass and gospel music or take the children to the petting zoo. If arts and crafts interest you we have that too! A special part of our craft area is the "Spinner and Weavers". They come each year with their spinning wheels and loom woven products to sale. From year to year we are blessed with different artists, such as watercolor artist, basket weavers and very talented wood workers. We feel that there is something for everyone!! After you have seen every thing and would like to sit for a while, take a ride on the hay wagon. We have hayrides leaving every 1/2-hour and the charge is $3 per person. The Royal Ambassador from Palestine Baptist Church use all proceeds from the hayride for a mission project. This will give our young boys a "hands on" approach to mission work. Each year at the close of the season our R.A.s and their leaders come together to pray and discuss how the mission money will be best used. Hours for the festival are from 9am ‘til 5pm. So come eat breakfast with us and make a day at “Grant Christmas Tree Farm and Syrup Mill”.

As we prepare for another fun-filled weekend on the farm, this will be Santa's last weekend. He will be available Saturday from 9 to 5 and Sunday from 1 to 5.
On a sad note, our beautiful Santa is retiring (and I have blocked him from this post). This is his last year, and we want you to express your gratitude and appreciation. You can come visit him and Ms. Clause or mail them a card of appreciation. Please, no guilt; they struggled with this decision. They are tired, and due to health concerns, they felt it was wise to make this hard choice. You can mail Santa at P O Box 305, Grant La 70644.
We hope to see you this weekend for LOTS of fun, great food, last-minute gift shopping (we just received another great shipment of pocket knives), discounted precut Frasier, and guess what?!?! The rain won't arrive until Saturday night! 😊And our final day to be open for the 2024 season is Saturday Dec 21st from 9-5. See ya at the prettiest lil farm in Louisiana!

Festival Information: The Fall Harvest Festival takes place on the three Saturdays following Thanksgiving day. The dates for 2018 are Nov 24, Dec 1th, & Dec 8th. Our kitchen closes at 3pm, the crafters start picking up around 3pm and the syrup is cooked by about 4pm and MUST come off the furnace. So come eat breakfast with us and make a day at “Grant Christmas Tree Farm and Syrup Mill”.
