It’s official, the limit and slot are set for Upper Red Lake this spring and summer. It is set at a 5 fish limit w/1 allowed over 17” There should be some great walleye fishing coming up 😀 this photo is from a couple years ago when we also had the 5 fish bag.

***Ice update 12/6/24***
We are now letting ATV's, Side X Sides and Snowmobiles out. Small open utility trailers are good too. The road is staked out a mile to the broken ice ridge. We suggest no vehicle travel past that. We found some slushy areas yesterday near it so use caution and check as you go. We are looking at a consistent 7 to 9 inches now. The bite has improved and most people are having their best luck in 9ft of water or less. Pink and silver spoons, are bringing the fish in and the aggressive ones snap it right up. Others need to be enticed a little bit and some finesse will provide you with success!
We have plenty of parking down on the beach and the shoreline, and our access opens daily at 7:00 a.m. Stop in the bait shop for a pass and we will get you on your way. We are fully stocked with fathead and rainbow minnows along with everything you need for a great day on the ice.

During my job today I found out that the state of MN has a website for any unclaimed property(money) whether it is a misplaced check or money left in an account passed a certain amount of time with no activity. Those businesses have to report that to the state of Minnesota and send them the information and the money. I would assume that over period of time if it’s not claimed the state would step in and add it to some account.

The goofy thing is all you have to do is type in your name or your business name and it pulls up all of the unclaimed property based off of the information you typed in

To me, it seemed crazy as well, but there is definitely lots of money out there that people forgot about or did not claim. Good luck and don’t forget to see if some of your friends have some unclaimed property. Maybe you can work out a finders fee.🙂

Time was pushed back an hour because of the freezing temperatures Should be 38 or 39° when Adnew starts and hopefully when Miss Grace starts it’s around 40-42🙂
