Alright everybody, it’s July 7th, and that means that from today through August 27 timed entry reservations will not be required to enter Arches National Park! (Visitation normally slows down enough this time of year, a reservation system to manage crowds might not be needed.)

However, park entry fees will still be required.

For more information about the timed entry system, or if you’re planning a trip after August 27th and want to know what you’ll need, go to: https://www.nps.gov/arch/planyourvisit/timed-entry-pilot.htm

UPDATE from the USFS regarding La Sal Mountain Loop Road Construction
July 2, 2025

In observance of the July 4 holiday, no work will take place from Thursday, July 3, through 6 a.m. Monday, July 7. Enjoy the holiday!

Beginning Monday, July 21, the project will begin paving new asphalt above Hardgrave Road. The road will be closed daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, and access will be available from Castle Valley. Motorists can access above Hardgrave Road before 8:30 a.m. but after that vehicles will be turned around.

Beginning Monday, July 7, the road from the Old Airport Road to the Pack Creek Cutoff Road will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. while crews add a prime sealant in preparation for paving. Once crews get above the Pack Creek Cutoff Road they will reduce the road to one-way traffic controlled by a flagger up to Hardgrave Road. Access to Ken's Lake will be maintained at all times from U.S. 191 to the Ken's Lake Cutoff road.

Beginning Monday, July 14, the project will begin paving new asphalt from the Old Airport Road headed to Hardgrave Road. During this activity the road will be closed daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between the Old Airport Road and the Pack Creek Cutoff Road. Traffic will be reduced to one-way traffic between the Pack Creek Cutoff Road and Hardgrave Road controlled by a flagger during this activity. Motorists can expect minor delays.

*Schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment, material delays, etc.
