Day 5: Departure!

We hopped on the monorail over to the Grand Floridian Resort to eat breakfast at 1900 Park Fare to celebrate John’s birthday and then packed up and headed home! They all slept most of the way home so we were able to do the drive in 8hrs with only 3 stops. Back to reality 🥲.

Day 4: Hollywood Studios!

We started the day with breakfast at Chef Mickey’s and then rode the bus over to Hollywood Studios. (Ps: I had been spoiled by the monorail and walking path, I forgot what it was like to have to unpack the stroller and take all the kids out). We got a family picture on Hollywood Blvd, bought lightsabers for the kids, watched the For the First Time in Forever show, explored Galaxy’s Edge, LLd Alien Swirling Saucers, LLd Slinky Dog Dash, ate at Woody’s Lunchbox, LLd Toy Story Mania, watched the kids so that some of the other adults could ride Rise of the Resistance for their first time, got some much needed Starbucks, took turns watching the kids so Mimi & Pop could ride Tower of Terror then we could ride RocknRoller Coaster, rode Minnie Mickey’s Runaway Railway, and then left the park a bit early so we could eat at the resort and watch the MK fireworks on our balcony with Mimi & Pop 🥹🫶🏻 Such a wonderful day!!

Day 3: Magic Kingdom!

One of my favorite days because so many sweet memories were made 🥹. We started with breakfast at Steakhouse 71 (everyone was there just at a diff table) then walked over to Magic Kingdom. The park was record breakingly crowded because it was Fat Tuesday so we pretty much could only ride things we had LL reservations for! We rode It’s a Small World 1st and got stuck on it for a little while 🤣, LLd Under the Sea, the men ran to ride Tron while the ladies hung behind with the kids, I found a lonely quiet corner to feed Blakeley in, LLd Peter Pan, got snacks at Gaston’s Tavern, then rode Seven Dwarfs MineTrain with MiMi which was soooo sweet to see Oliver comforting her nerves 😅. Then we went back to the room for a good long nap! Walked back to Magic Kingdom for dinner at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, LLd Barnstormer, then the boys rode Dumbo & the Tomorrowland Peoplemover while Sissy and I watched the new Starlight parade in Frontierland with a front row spot! She absolutely loved it - was dancing, clapping, and waving at characters! Then the sweetest park of my day: Andrew took the littles back to the room for baths and bed while Oliver & I closed down Magic Kingdom together 🥹 We rode the Mad Tea Cups, Tomorrowland Speedway during the fireworks, Barnstormer again, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, got in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train but hopped out to use the potty, watched Mickey’s Philharmagic, rode Haunted Mansion, and then walked back to our resort. We didn’t get in bed til midnight! Oliver was such a trooper and I loved getting one on one time with my big boy 💙🫶🏻

Day 2: Epcot!

We got breakfast from Contempo Cafe in the lobby & ate in our room then took our very 1st ride on the monorail to Epcot! We had a LL to Frozen but it was down so we rode the Three Caballeros instead. Then I took a trip to the baby care center to feed Blakeley, we all rode LL to The Seas with Nemo, explored the aquarium, took a quick break for naps & diaper changes, LL to Turtle Talk with Crush, pit stop for some much needed Starbucks 🤩, LL for Living with the Land, LL for Journey into Imagination with Figment, LL for Spaceship Earth, and went back to the resort for an outfit change. Then we took the monorail back to Epcot for the girls to eat at Akershus and meet some princesses while the boys ate at La Creperie de Paris! The family rode Frozen Ever After and then the men took on Guardians Cosmic Rewind while the 3 ladies took on 5 kids and 4 strollers 🤣. That was fun. We got back to the room about 11pm, showered, and got ready for the next day!

Day 1: Arrival!

The kids did great in the car but still took us about 9hours to drive there with 4ish stops. We also drove straight thru a tornado warning 🌪️ which was wild! The Contemporary Resort was gorgeous and so full of history and I absolutely loved it!! Newly rennovated “The Incredibles” themed rooms, monorail access, 5min walk to Magic Kingdom with your own security check point (so that’s 1 less line to wait in), shops & multiple nice restaurants all down in the same building, and of course the most beautiful view of Magic Kingdom 😭😍 We ate down in the lobby at Contempo Cafe with the family and then got settled in our room and watched the MK Happily Ever After fireworks show from our balcony!
