Odyssey Family,

We learned this week that our beloved Janice Gandy, a longtime champion and hero of Odyssey, passed away on June 30, 2024. She was known to us for her extensive knowledge of just about every era of art history, and her love of sharing this wealth of knowledge with her students.

One of our fondest memories is from another long-time Odyssey member, Mike Lester. When asked about his favorite topics, he replied, "Anything by Janice Gandy." That sentiment was echoed by many, and we are truly sad to say goodbye. To get a closer glimpse into the richness of her life, her family published a beautiful tribute (link below).

We, at the Center for Continuing Education, extend our condolences and sympathy to her husband, Maurice, and her entire loving family.
