Why is Mobile so haunted?

Maybe it goes all the way back to the beginning, when the French arrived here to a beach covered in human bones. Three hundred years later, Mobile still has no shortage of real people, real places, and very strange stories.

Bay Town Burger Co. has quickly become one of our favorite new stops on the tour!

Our guests are loving the smash burger with Bay Sauce, plus a chicken finger from their Bay Birdies concept, all inside the same downtown restaurant. The baseball history throughout the space is such a great tribute to Mobile, from the memorabilia on the walls to the baseball-themed bathrooms. And don’t even get us started on the patio views overlooking Dauphin Street. During golden hour, it’s hard to beat!

Nine years ago today, Bienville Bites hosted its very first food tour in Downtown Mobile!

What started as one tour and a big idea has grown into thousands of guests, incredible restaurant partners, an amazing team of tour guides, and nine years of sharing the food, history, and stories that make Mobile so special.

Thank you to every guest who has joined us, every restaurant that has welcomed us, every guide who has helped tell Mobile’s story, and everyone who has supported us along the way. We’re so grateful to celebrate 9 years in this city we love!

The Mobile Belles joined us for Boo Brunch two weeks in a row, bringing two different groups to join us downtown for a morning of great food, spooky stories, and plenty of fun!

The Belles always tell us that Bienville Bites is one of their favorite things to do all year, and we love having them on the tour. They are some of our biggest supporters and they are our current and future ambassadors for Mobile!

Thank you to all of the Mobile Belles for spending a Saturday morning with us. We’ll see you on the next tour!

What a weekend of haunted tours in Downtown Mobile!

From Thursday through Sunday, we enjoyed some great food, spooky stories, haunted brunch, Bites and Frights, and our Haunted Murder Mystery with some incredible groups of people!

This is the final week for haunted tours, and we’re adding Tuesday to the schedule. Join us Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, all the way through Halloween night. October is almost over, so grab your spot before the ghosts of the Church St. Graveyard disappear for another year! 👻

The city locks this historic graveyard every afternoon, but we have the key!

Church Street Graveyard is Mobile’s oldest surviving cemetery, and behind these walls are the stories of yellow fever, Mobile legends, Joe Cain, and the hundreds of people who died during one of the city’s deadliest outbreaks.

Join us after dark on Bites and Frights or Murder Under the Oaks. We’ll unlock the gate and take you inside.

Death by Chocolate is exactly the kind of cupcake you want waiting for you on a haunted brunch tour!

This rich, chocolatey treat from Dropout Bakery & Co. is almost too beautiful to eat, but thankfully, you don’t have to make that decision until after you’ve had a morning of spooky stories, great food, and a walk through historic Downtown Mobile!

The Death by Chocolate cupcake is featured on our Boo Brunch tour, every Saturday in October. Come hungry, bring your sweet tooth, and save room for this deliciously dangerous stop at Dropout Bakery!

The Blood Bags are back! And some of our guests come back every year just to get one!

They’re one of the most popular drinks on our Bites and Frights Haunted Food Tour, but last Saturday, one Blood Bag made its way onto the sidewalk and created a little scene of its own. For a few minutes, it looked like the ghosts had left evidence behind!

Join us Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout October for great food, spooky cocktails, haunted history, and a Blood Bag of your own. And try to keep your drink off the sidewalk! 👻🩸

Why are so many porch ceilings in De Tonti Square painted this shade of blue? The answer has something to do with restless spirits. But one of Mobile’s most beautiful historic homes may prove that haint blue doesn’t always work!
