Jacobsen Pacific SMM, Inc.

Jacobsen Pacific SMM, Inc. Welcome to Jacobsen Pacific, since 1996 the most trusted name in soil moisture management throughout Central California.

From our speed and service to our state-of-the-art capabilities, Jacobsen Pacific provides all your irrigation scheduling needs. Established in Central California in 1996, Jacobsen Pacific utilizes a truly one-of-a-kind water management program – a comprehensive approach that combines historical reference, current weather patterns, plant-generated ET, field observations and hydroprobe technology t

o create a highly-visual, easy-to-understand report sent to the grower electronically in a matter of hours, not days. No other firm brings our level of experience and expertise to the science of irrigation. That’s because soil moisture management is all we do, and we do it well. While larger ag companies may offer similar services as a small part of their business, they lack the speed and personal service we provide. And while smaller firms may compete on price, this often forces them to cut corners on the thoroughness and accuracy of their soil moisture assessments. At Jacobsen Pacific, soil moisture management is our singular focus, and growers appreciate our in-depth understanding of its concepts, technologies and applications.

The trucks have been put to bed, the last of our weekly reports sent off to our clients. And quietly, our 28th season comes to an end. It was by far our most challenging year yet, but our staff conquered the many obstacles that was thrust upon them, and another successful campaign is in the books. Once again, a big thank you to our clients - the best in the industry. Please continue your prayers for our California farmer and small businesses. It's not an easy climate to thrive in right now, and with your help and patronage, we hope to continue being a part of the greatest and most important of industries - agriculture.

A big thank you to our faithful and hardworking employees! Up hours before the sun, fighting cold, heat, and a host of other elements to get our clients their irrigation info fast. Time to relax, time to reacquaint ourselves with our families, time to work on that project that keeps being pushed back til "tomorrow".
The finality of the end of a season weighs heavy on us, and a sense of melancholy always accompanies it. But we know that come the first of the new year, the behind-the-scenes prep work for the 2024 season begins in earnest. Then comes almond bloom... and then comes us - back to the orchards and vineyards of the great central valley.

Your 2023 Jacobsen Pacific staff:

“Lord how the day passes! It’s like a life - so quickly when we don’t watch it and so slowly when we do.” - from John Steinbeck’s “East of Eden”

I guess the same could be said when running a business. We turned 27 today - almost snuck by us before we noticed.

We’re proud to be where we are after 27 years - in the best industry you can ask for. We hope to be around another 27 years, but let’s not be in such a hurry to get there.

Now, back to the orchards!
