La Loma Neighborhood La Loma is a wonderful neighborhood that creates community by celebrating neighbor friendships, teamwork, and engagement.

In the La Loma Area, we have our own private security patrol service that patrols the streets, parks, and alleys of La Loma day and night! We would love for you to become part of this program, to ensure we are able to continue to drive the crime out of our neighborhoods with this program! The La Loma Security Plan is:
•Patrol our streets, alleys, and parks day and night
•Stop dumpster diving and h

omeless disturbance
•Provide a 24 hour telephone number to dispatch an officer to request a response
•Provides vacation security checks when needed
•Monitors and patrols the parks after closing
•Allows an officer to question and arrest anyone on your property seen committing a crime

Thank you to the La Loma neighbors who came out to add kindness rocks to our garden. We had a great group of helpful installers.
We have some new beautiful rocks to admire. Loving the kindness heart rock which we centered in the heart of the rock garden.
Thank you to Jose Gonzalez for mixing the cement for us to use.
We are grateful to these neighbors for supporting our efforts to spread good cheer and positive thoughts in our neighborhood.
We encourage other neighbors to bring their painted rocks to fill in our kindness rock garden with more cheery images, though we won't be cementing them in.

Its ceanothus season at the La Loma Native Garden. Come see all the shades of blue that are a magnet for bees. Some varieties blooming are: Joyce Coulter, Dark star, Ray Hartman, Co**ha, and thyrsiflorus, and snow flurry. The fragrant lupines are still in bloom too.

Please be aware of road closures along the course for the on Sunday, March 23rd. The race kicks off at 7 AM, with road closures beginning early that morning. To avoid delays, check the marathon route map and plan alternate routes if traveling through downtown Modesto or other affected areas.

Is anybody missing their cat??? This cat has been hanging out on Edgebrook by the trail. It has a collar with a bell, but no number or address. If this is your cat, let us know! If we can’t find the owner, we are looking to rehome it as our family is highly allergic to cats. If you are interested, let us know! This cat is very sweet and friendly.

You may notice that work has begun on the vegetable garden at the corner of Phoenix and Encina. An environmental justice group has taken on the project. If you are interested in helping at the garden please stop by when you see them working in the garden and ask what they need help with.

Dear Neighbors. There are 4 young boys (looks to be between 12 and 14 year olds) that have been throwing rocks at neighbors homes. Does anyone know these kids? Please be aware if you see them. They have been confronted and don’t seem to care.
