Did you know 🚀Astronaut Jim Adamson is from Monarch?

In 1989 Jim took this Monarch plaque on his 5 day journey into space. This plaque circled the earth 81 times at a speed of 17,600 miles per hour!

You can see the plaque and read about his journey on the stone podium located in the field between the Red Shed and the highway.
