We provide passenger ferry service between Montauk, NY and Block Island RI and New London, CT. We have a variety of fishing trips, both inshore and offshore. We have boats available for private charters for both small and large groups. We also have a custom private charter boat the Viking FiveStar. We go Whale Watching every Sunday and Wednesday in July, August and first weekend in September. The Viking Classic has Sunset Cocktail Cruises available in the summer through fall.

Wed June 3 - 2 Day Deep Tile/ 1 Day of Nantucket Fluke
Captain Steven Sr. reports an excellent offshore Tilefish and Fluke trip. On the first day, our crew set sail for the Tilefish grounds and found plenty of action. Our crew reeled in lots of quality Tilefish, Po***ck, and several Barrelfish throughout the day. Fishing improved even more on the second day. We were absolutely hammered by Dogfish at first, but later we managed an excellent catch, finishing the day with a great pick of Tilefish. On the third day, we targeted Fluke off the shores of Nantucket. The action started off slow, but the bite steadily improved as the day went on. We wrapped up the trip with plenty of jumbo Fluke coming over the rails. Congratulations to our pool winners: Steve Scabapico took home the Fluke Pool with a 9.8-pound Fluke, Jake Rypkema won the Edible Pool with an 18-pound Barrelfish, and David Jurich won the Tilefish Pool with an impressive 35.6-pound Tilefish. A great trip all around, with excellent catches and plenty of action from start to finish.

Sun June 7- Montauk Spring Porgies and Seabass
Capt. Dave reports that the fishing was better today than yesterday, but still on the slower side. We caught mostly nice size fish with everybody bringing in some keepers. The pool winner was Edward S. from Buffalo, NY with a 2.8 lb Porgy.

Sat June 6 – Montauk Spring Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports difficult fishing on the Viking Star. Porgy fishing was tough with the dogfish being such a bother. We did manage a handful of Porgies. Everything will hopefully pick up soon! The pool winner was John Wayne from Staten Island, NY with a 2.3 lb Porgy.

Sat June 6 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
Captain Carl reports a beautiful morning of half day fishing. The morning trip started off slow, with just a few small Fluke and Sea Bass coming up. Later on, we saw some better action with Porgies and Sea Bass, but overall it was a slow morning for keepers. The pool winner was Jennifer Stevenson from Island Park, NY with a 2.8 lb Sea Bass. We will be heading out again at 1pm!

Fri June 5 – Sunset Jigging for Striped Bass & Blues
Capt Dave G reports a nice sunset Jigging trip. We arrived at the lighthouse at slack tide. There were a few birds around, but no fish. Once the tide started to flood, the action picked up. We chased some birds around to the south side, and we’re able to put together a few nice drifts. We ended up with 2 slot size striped bass, a bunch of bluefish, some jumbo porgies, and some short sea bass which were thrown back. All in all it was a nice evening. High hook and pool winner was Marty Dowd from New York City with a 10 lb Striped Bass.

Capt Dave reports a slower day on the Viking Starlite. A body of smaller Porgies moved in, so we had more shorts than we have seen. There were a few nice size Porgies in the mix. Fri June 5 – Sun June 7 ***Viking Fleet Weekend Schedule***
It looks like a beauty weather weekend here in Montauk (finally!) and the fishing has really come ALIVE! Porgy fishing is SOLID, Striped Bass are here THICK, and Fluke and Sea Bass fishing has been improving every day!
We have also been seeing whales and other cetaceans. Block Island is beautiful at this time of year, and you simply cannot beat a beautiful Montauk Sunset! Check out our list of “happenings” for the weekend below!

Wed June 3 – Montauk Spring Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a very similar day as yesterday on the Viking Starlite. It was two hours of solid Porgy fishing until the seaweed showed up. We moved around but unfortunately the spot was not as active. There were bigger fish in the area though. We also caught some cocktail Blues. No pool today. Unfortunately the trip for Thursday, June 4 is cancelled.

Mon June 2 – Montauk Spring Porgies & Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports a decent trip on the Viking Starlite. It was a steady pick of Porgies with some Cocktail Blues and Fluke in the mix. At times the seaweed was a bother, but everyone managed a respectable catch. We didn’t have a pool with the light crowd. We are sailing tomorrow at 5AM.
