Virgin Voyages just announced a completely NEW menu for The Beach Club at Bimini 👀🌴

And this isn’t just a few new dishes — they’ve completely reworked the menu with Chef Rashida Holmes, drawing inspiration from Bahamian and Caribbean flavors and her own Bajan and Trinidadian roots.

A few things coming to the menu:
✨ Curry Chicken Roti
✨ Coconut Curry Channa
✨ Tamarind BBQ Pork Skewers
✨ Caribbean-style snapper + beef patties
✨ Tostones with guacamole
✨ Grilled shrimp with pineapple chow
✨ Sweet plantains with salted condensed milk + candied pecans
✨ Coconut rice pudding with tropical fruit

There will also be vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options throughout the menu.

The rollout starts TODAY!

As someone who sends a lot of clients on Virgin Voyages, I’m excited about this one. Bimini is already one of my favorite parts of a Caribbean sailing, and I love that they’re leaning more into flavors that actually reflect the region.

I recently had the chance to tour Oceania Vista, and I was really impressed by this ship.

Vista joined the Oceania Cruises fleet in 2023, so she still feels very new — modern, polished, spacious, and beautifully designed.

Oceania is a great fit for travelers who want a more refined cruise experience without the size and crowds of the mega ships. The line is especially known for its food, destination-focused itineraries, and smaller ships, and Vista carries around 1,200 guests.

What stood out to me most was how upscale the ship felt without feeling overly formal. There were plenty of beautiful spaces to relax, multiple dining options, and an overall atmosphere that felt calm and comfortable.

Scams are everywhere. Unfortunately, travel is no exception.

It appears that one of the major cruise lines has been hacked and scammers are impersonating the brand. It's not a line that I sell any more, so no immediate caution to current clients.

BUT, this is a good reminder to be EXTRA CAREFUL anytime you receive an unexpected email, text, or phone call about your trip!

A few best practices:

• Always verify links before clicking, especially if you’re being asked to log in or make a payment.
• If something looks or feels off, please just ask me. I’m always happy to verify whether a communication is legitimate.
Though, sometimes tech glitches with payments do happen - virgin voyages...
• Do not make a payment to, or provide payment information to, a third party that unexpectedly contacts you by phone, email, or text.
Especially phone. No one will call you about your booking without a verified email first.

It’s always better to double-check than risk giving information to the wrong person.

BIG news in luxury cruising: Explora Journeys is entering the river cruise space. 🚢

I've known about this for a few weeks now, but it just became official news. Explora Journeys has announced plans for a new fleet of luxury river ships in Europe, bringing its relaxed, residential-style approach to luxury cruising to the rivers.

Details on the ships, itineraries, and launch dates are still to come, but Explora Journeys river cruise sales are expected to open in 2027.

As someone who already loves Explora’s ocean product, I am VERY curious to see what they create — especially how their spacious suites, elevated dining, wellness, and European hospitality translate to luxury river cruising.

Could we eventually see Explora Journeys on the Rhine or Danube? And how will it compare with established luxury river cruise lines?

This is one I’ll absolutely be watching.

Currently sailing the Mediterranean with Crystal Cruises for the Opulence Fall Symposium — and getting an incredible firsthand look at both the cruise experience and some of Europe’s most beautiful ports. 🛳️✨

This itinerary has taken us from Athens and Santorini, Greece, to Bodrum, Turkey, Valletta, Malta, Trapani and Cagliari, Italy, and finally Rome.

Along the way, I’ve been experiencing Crystal Cruises as a guest while also meeting with top luxury travel suppliers and learning more about what’s new across the luxury travel industry. I'm here with our parnters from Explora Journeys, Viking, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and more.

One of the biggest benefits of these trips is being able to bring that firsthand experience back to my clients. I can see the accommodations, dining, service, onboard atmosphere, and destinations for myself — and better understand who a particular cruise line or itinerary is actually right for.

I'm going on a group trip in a few weeks and was reading through the company's Traveler’s Pledge, and one point immediately stood out to me (it was in capital letters):

📵 “I WILL NOT USE MY CELL PHONE AT THE TABLE DURING MEALS"

And honestly? I’m completely on board with this one.

Travel is one of the few times we have an excuse to really disconnect. You’re sitting in a restaurant somewhere new, trying local food, sharing a meal with people you traveled across the world with — or maybe meeting people you never would have met at home.

Take the photo. Capture the moment. But then put the phone down.

It’s such a simple piece of travel etiquette, but I think it matters.

Being a good traveler isn’t only about respecting local customs, learning a few words of the language or understanding cultural etiquette. Sometimes it’s as simple as being present with the people sitting across from you.
