We’re back in Lisbon, after five days in the Algarve region of Portugal. The country is easy to navigate, with trains and roadways easily accessible.

With 300 days of sunshine each year, there’s really never a bad time for you to plan a visit. So make Portugal your next stop.

But bring comfortable shoes!! The famous seven hills of Lisbon await!

While traveling in Portugal, you’re bound to come across many souvenirs with colorful roosters emblazoned on them. The rooster is a national symbol of good luck and there’s some history behind the reason it became so popular.

And while I’m usually tempted to purchase at least something to bring home to remember my trips abroad, a colorful picture often soothes my shopping jones and my urge to spend euros!
