Most people don’t know this, but we’re the co-leaders of the Sonoma & Napa Region Airbnb Host Community Group (yeah, it’s a mouthful—but we love it!).

This spring, we hosted our very first brunch with fellow hosts from Marin, Napa, and Sonoma counties. These monthly meetups are such a great way to connect with other passionate hosts, share ideas, and dive deep into what it means to be great neighbors, responsible hosts, and engaged community members.

We care deeply about hosting legally and responsibly—and we’re proud to be part of a group that feels the same.

And get this… our little club has nearly 700 members now! 💥💛

The iconic "Vacation Wonderland" sign in Monte Rio near the Russian River vanished for a year as it underwent repairs. It's going back up, but the neon is gone.

This is the kind of five-star review that makes our hearts sing!

"This home in the woods is stupendously beautiful inside and out. Surrounded by trees and buffered by a creek that runs adjacent to the property, the soothing sounds of nature made it easy to rest, relax, sleep, and enjoy our family time together. The home itself has every comfort and every lovely thing to greet the eye. The decor is fabulous: so tasteful with wonderful, thoughtful touches everywhere the eye can see. Pillows, throws, lights, decor, plants outside and the bird feeder just off the dining room: each item brought joy.
The home is up a steep hill and quite secluded while still being within a short drive of lots of different places. Make sure you go to Armstrong State Park for the amazing hikes and trees, as well as the Bodega Head hike along ocean cliffs: amazing. If the Monte Rio Theater just down the road is playing something, that is a fun experience too, but bring a jacket; it is cold!
We recommend arriving in daylight; the winding road up is a bit scary to navigate."

Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄Here’s an oldie but a goodie! A few years ago, San Francisco singer/songwriter (and one of my favorite repeat guests) Matt Nathanson asked if he could film his “Blue Christmas” video at our cabin in the woods. Naturally, I said yes — who could say no to that voice? 😄 Every year, I get a good laugh rewatching the video, knowing it was actually filmed in the middle of summer.
