How cute is this!?!
A very small newborn Long-beaked Common Dolphin calf, porpoising out of a very calm Monterey Bay. Its fetal folds, those vertical stripes, are quite prominent. They’re creases caused by the calf being curled up in its mother’s womb until it’s born. 8/17/26. Photos Randy Straka

Common Dolphins have been hanging out in the Bay for weeks! We never know when we’re going to see them, but they’ve been around a lot! Check out the small calf at the very beginning of the clip!
