Join the Alabama River Foundation for the Riverfront Rendezvous 2026. It will be a fun-filled, hands-on environmental education experience at Riverfront Park in downtown Montgomery! This exciting two-day event brings together hundreds of youth, families, community organizations, and river partners to celebrate, explore, and learn about the incredible Alabama River.
What to Expect:
Participants will enjoy an interactive day packed with river adventures, educational experiences, and outdoor fun including:
✅ Boat Rides on the Alabama River
Experience Montgomery from the water with guided river cruises and educational tours.
🐍 Live Animal Encounters
Get up close with snakes, turtles, reptiles, and wildlife presentations.
🎣 Fishing with Montgomery Police Athletic League (MPAL)
Learn fishing basics, river safety, and spend time outdoors with local officers.
🦺 Water Safety Demonstrations
Hands-on activities including life jacket fittings, knot tying, life ring toss, fire safety, and boating safety education.
🌎 Environmental & Watershed Education
Interactive exhibits focused on river conservation, wildlife, water quality, and protecting our natural resources.
🚶 Nature & Riverfront Exploration
Discover Montgomery’s riverfront while learning about trails, recreation, and the importance of the Alabama River.
