We realize that many of you may be new to our community, and we’re excited to have you join us on this journey of discovery and connection to Kentucky’s rich history.

As family historians, we are bound by the timeless thread of Kentucky— a land that shaped the lives of our ancestors and continues to bind us together today. From the rugged caves of Mammoth Cave to the rolling hills and vibrant communities, Kentucky is more than a place; it is the foundation of our stories, our heritage, and our collective memory.

This photo of a Model A Ford rail bus from Mammoth Cave photographed in what was then known as Glasgow Junction and is now Park City, Barren County, Kentucky captures a moment in time when families, just like ours, traveled to uncover the mysteries of the land. In that spirit, we invite you to take your own journey—one that leads back through the generations to the heart of Kentucky.

We are proud descendants of those who contributed to Kentucky’s rich history. Their stories, struggles, and triumphs are woven into the very fabric of this place, and it is our mission to honor and preserve that legacy.

Joining our Society is an invitation to be part of a living, breathing community of genealogists and history enthusiasts. For just $20 a year, you’ll gain access to a wealth of resources, presentations, and insights that will help you uncover the hidden stories of your Kentucky ancestors—whether they lived in the state or passed through on their journeys.

As a member, you’ll unlock exclusive access to over 100 on-demand video presentations in the virtual Learning Library covering everything from genealogical research techniques to the colorful history of Kentucky itself. These resources are designed to be accessible to anyone, no matter where you are in the world, allowing you to learn and grow at your own pace.

We are about more than just names and dates. We are a community united by a passion for discovery, and by joining us, you’ll be part of a grassroots movement working to preserve and celebrate Kentucky’s genealogical legacy.

So, whether you’re just beginning to explore your roots or you’ve already made significant discoveries, we welcome you to join us today. Let’s travel together on this journey to connect with our past, enrich our present, and inspire future generations.
