🍴 White County Foodie Adventures: FoodAPalooza Takes Food to the Lake!🚤
This week, we're taking our White County Foodie Adventure out onto the water! FoodAPalooza returns to the Lake Freeman sandbar this Saturday, September 5, bringing food, boats, grills, live music, and plenty of summer fun together for one unforgettable afternoon.
From noon to 5 p.m., approximately 200 boats and grills will gather at the sandbar as friends, families, and food lovers fire up their favorite creations and share them with anyone willing to wade in and take a bite.
Where else can you walk through knee deep water, wander from boat to boat, sample someone's barbecue, grab dessert from a floating kitchen, and listen to live music, all in the middle of a lake?
FoodAPalooza is a boat access event, so bring your boat, bring some food, bring a grill, and get ready to get wet! There's no admission charge. Just register at the Judges table when you arrive.
And yes, there's a little friendly competition involved! FoodAPalooza features five categories: Best Appetizer, Best Dessert, Best Food, Most Creative, and Best of Show, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes up for grabs.
But the real prize is spending a summer afternoon on Lake Freeman, meeting new people, sharing great food, and enjoying the community that makes White County special.
And once you've had your fill, stick around for live music from Group Therapy, performing throughout the afternoon.
