Husband, father, grandfather , great grandfather, brother and co-founder of JeriCo Christian Journeys. (‘Jeri’ of JeriCo)

Jerry Schwarzbauer passed away peacefully today after 30 years of serving as a Catholic deacon. It seems especially fitting that he went home on the Feast of St. Lawrence, patron saint of deacons. ❤️🙏

Prayers are welcome, especially for his wife Colleen, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.

A view of our days 3 & 4 (and some of 2). We have been feeling so blessed this trip. Look at those beautiful skies- thank you Lord! Two more days of our journey. We’d appreciate prayers of continued energy and safe travels.

We are feeling very patriotic on our current Bus Pilgrimage!! Yesterday we saw the ‘Field of Dreams’ set in Dyersville, IA, after watching the movie together. ⚾️ Today we are at the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, IL, and they are celebrating the 250th anniversary of the USA- we get a special look at the 13th ammendment and the emmancipation proclamation.

Some pictures from our bus pilgrimage last week to see ‘Midwest Shrines’. Highlights include- the Shrine of the Redemption in West Bend, IA; the Gateway Arch in St. Louis; Our Lady of the Snows and the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception with Arch Bishop Fulton Sheen’s tomb in Illinois.

Viva Las Vegas! Another work trip for the books, and the church we attended was Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer. Loved the gorgeous statues on the wall.
